I have been testing a lot of builts in m+ including the ones you mentioned here, and all of them have pros and cons, overall ele sham is super strong right now doesnt matter the choice if you do the right rotation. Personally i like to carry magma totem, it gives you a strong miniburst with primordial wave when you dont have ascendance, and if you are lucky you can proc ascendance taking advantage of the haste it provides.

I've also been playing with pwave and magma totem. I think it had better maelstrom generation where the echoes build can sometimes feel like you are starved.

I’ve thought about this a lot as well and it would feel so shitty to have to flame shock a mob then randomly throw out a frost shock just to proc EE that it almost feels not worth. I do love the suggestion and might try this anyway. Otherwise I’m only using EE when I ice fury on 3 targets or less. Thanks for the feedback!

I honestly don't understand anymore. This whole EOGS thing where you cast earth shock and then earthquake does like 3mil dps max and that's on dummies. This would all make sense if ascendance and storm elemental had a 30 sec cooldown but they don't. What is the rotation for when you don't have the cooldowns? And what is the point of even taking icefury if you're basically never gonna use it?

you use icefury to proc elemental equilibrium, which requires you to use fire, frost and nature dmg within 10 sec of eachother to gain a 10% dmg increase for 10 sec every 30 seconds. and it helps with movement heavy fights

Icefury is used on st rotarion or when you gotta move in AOE and it procs fusion of the elements when you cast other element spells, giving you a free elemental blast. The rotation without cds is the same as what you do after the opener....chain lightning to get maelstrom, earth shock, chain lightning, earthquake (empowered by eogs), repeat...cast tempest when it procs and thats it

Do you still chain lightning the necromancer packs in Necrotic wake for optimal damage into one target? Oh yea def worth for funnel. Cl hits harder than lightning bolt just on its own. Hitting 5 targets means 10% or more with extra rod talent all funnel into the necro and the ms gen to earth shock

I have been seeing some builds use Surge of Power over Aftershock. Not sure if I missed it in your video and saw nothing about it in your tags. What's your take on it? Personally I have not been enjoying using it because the rotation seems to be incredibly reactive to setting up SoP. But I notice when I do its an incredible difference in damage. I love aftershock because it makes the rotation a lot more simple.

I know that this video is 3 weeks old, so that could be the reason... But I noticed that in this build you don't include liquid magma totem/p-wave/splintered elements. However you do use these talents in all M+ videos I have watched since... which makes sense because of the MASSIVE haste buff from splintered elements every time you p-wave on multiple mobs. Is this something that changed since the posting of this video? Seems pretty integral to huge damage. Furthermore, you use ele-blast instead of earth shock in those videos. Is that only relevant to super high keys where you need the extra damage on prio-mobs?

Don’t bother with mote. You can sneak in a frost shock during tank pulling to proc EE but never during aoe imo unless you need it for movement. Any pwave builds will auto proc EE

I love having choices now. Like, i want to have more control --> take SoP. I want to have more mini bursts for lower keys like +10 or +11 --> LMT + PWave. Its still very good, you should definitely have a word about that build because people attempt it is complete trash (because you and petko dont use it). I would even say every second player will play better with lmt and pwave than with echoes which will result in more damage. Even though ele is giga op right now, i still see people not doing very good damage because top streamer suggest only echoes. This is a real issue.

Thank you for the guide! I see you double sending your tempest proc lightning bolts instead of weaving them in with LBs. Is it not worth it to weave those and better to just buff earth shock when you can? I imagine it's also not worth considering the GCD there by tagging them onto the end of hard casts.

Use arc discharge, you can buff them but then it gets tricky if you get another tempest procs with arc discharge still available

Its because the old playstyle was super degenerate and boring. No one enjoys spamming lightning bolt over everything. This current playstyle I could see being overwhelming though for new players, the best advice I can give is just to practice this every day on the dummies

Hey if targets are not moving you would be spamming cl until you can quake then cl quake tempest. Use icefury and I would proc it with a flame shock while going back to your cl quake filler. If specs into eogs then you would do the same but es quake instead

Either is fine. If you’re running herald talent do sk first into ele. If you run the other talent then ele sk. Either way you won’t notice anything but the little guy you summon when SK does great damage

Do you think its worth frost shocking before an AOE pull after setting your flame shock while running to proc elemental equilibrium? And also it seems like flame shock uptime is important on single target, is it worth keeping on 2 targets on 2 target boss fights?

Yes someone suggested this and although it’ll feel shitty it’s probably worth it. I’ll be testing it out myself. For st yes maintain fs. It’s nice to refresh after you icefury so it procs fusion of elements on the fs refresh. For 2 target only refresh flame shocks on secondary target after icefury when possible. Don’t manually flame shock two target

@@Bondbl please do, kinda struggling with this. Been doing what you say, but my DPS fell off hard after 11.05. Even in AOE, CL, earth shock, CL Earth quake (changing targets to for lightning rod) and not doing much DPS. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Aftershock for me sims waaaaay below SoP, is it because I still have low mastery and high haste, or is it supposed to be like this and it's just easier to pull on real play?

I’ve seen big success with both aftershock and sop. Give them both a try. With sop always try to send tempest with it
