To start with I’ll answer your question, it is literally to keep you from being full power week 2. Two things will happen, people like me will actually completely min max and be full power week 2 and if you don’t you won’t get invited to anything. The 2nd thing that will happen is it takes away the weekly nerfs to content like dungeons and raids and people will hit a wall that they can’t out gear and will have to wait for a nerf from blizzard. You’re doing world content and lower level mythic plus. With that being said you are at the Ilevel for that. You said it yourself, you have to mythic raid or push higher key levels to get higher Ilevel. If you don’t want to, that’s ok, just don’t expect the highest Ilevel in the game. When have you ever been able to be max Ilevel and not touch the hardest content?

If your not doing the heavy hitting things your looking at 1 item level increase to 2 a week

Lvl 3 crests are by far the biggest problem right now. It makes no sense that you can farm lvl 4 crests easier than lvl 3 crests because of the caps. And what even is the point of giving someone with ilvl 615+ lvl1 and lvl2 crests? It's a literal waste of space and you can't even upgrade them if you are over the weekly cap. Stupid system.

I'm 2575 IO. The 10's and 9's are easier to pug than 4's I do to get runed crests. There seems to be confusion within the casual community of what's going on. (I still feel like I'm a casual) This season has shown that if you don't do mechanics you're not finishing the key much less timing the key. People are used to not doing mechanics and still timing the key with 30 deaths because they didn't do mechanics or interrupt spells. Now, you actually have to do the mechanic or you don't progress. I had a tank in a 4 last night quit the key because he didn't know how to press a defensive. He tried the same pack 5 times and said sorry I can't do this and left lmao I was like, how you going to get better if you don't keep trying? I understand spending time to learn your class is painful, but I mean taking 20 minutes to watch a video about your class and spec will save you hours upon hours of pain. It's like anything else in life. The fun is in the problem solving with the tools you have. Not sleep walking through a dungeon. If you don't know what tools you have to confront a situation you'll never be able to solve it.

This is pretty out of touch. You shouldn't have to play absolutely perfectly to get gear level upgrades. Previous expansions you only had to get to a 6/7 for a chance at the best gear in your vault. The difficulty jump along with making healing and tanking harder + difficult dungeons + people being less geared overall creates a situation and domino affect where people are hardstuck at certain rating and 1 slacker could completely brick your key even if you yourself have the skill to do the key. Then you have people being pickier with keys which means less keys get ran which means the community as a whole suffers from it. Blizzard needs to cater to casuals (the players who will actually just play something else if keys are too hard) instead of the top 5% of players that will live in m+ no matter what. DF season 3 was a great balance in terms of gearing. And yes this is coming from someone who is already timing 9s and 10s. Less people playing = bad

@@dr3armer I timed an 11 yesterday with 5 deaths. You don't have to play perfect. You just have to do mechanics. I mean seriously. If there's a swirly below your feet you move. 90% of people who are in 4's can't do that. What do you do with that? In a 4 there's maybe 1 spell per typical pack of mobs you pull that will put your party in trouble. People don't even bother. It's like their kick button isn't bound and then they get on a forum of some type and cry they can't time a 4. You move up to 7's you have to defensive every once in a while. If you record yourself doing keys and watch the replay you'll notice how easy it actually is if you just know what to look for. And the big thing about watching a replay of you doing the dungeon is you learn something EVERY time.

@@kunibert89 a lot of people play 2-3 characters. but I understand your point if someone is focused 100% on one char and only wants to get gear. for me the game usually starts when I have good gear

Use your own key. Invite people who are higher IO than you and better gear. You're not on the IO curve of good players. Higher IO players need runed crests and will join your key.

I looked at the mythic raid progress and expected to see a bunch of guilds with 1 or 2 boss kills, since those are usually easy. There were about 1,500 guilds in the 1/8 to 3/8 range. If you're not in a hardcore guild, your only option for high gear right now is to farm boes from mythic raid trash mobs. The crest cap is nonsense.

not sure if I understand your point. I have “low” itemlevel because I have “low” itemlevel? yes that is true. thats what the video is about. 610 on 2-3 slots would make a difference of maybe 0.5 overall. and then no crests to upgrade further 👍

I have said this multiple times, but this expansion is for pvp. The itemization for pve is trash. Hell, it's still trash for pvp. I should not have to craft multiple pieces of gear to get the stats that I want for pvp. I should be able to just pvp for two mastery rings.

I just think it’s okay, Why would we get the gear that mythic raiders get easier than mythic raiders ? Like only the 1% are getting mythic gear right now, why should we expect to run some M+ and get more gear than them? Idk

Because a game can’t survive on 1%. If you want the game to grow you have to cater to th 99% its basic business logic

for me its strange that people think only mythic raider should have the best gear. raiding is in general on a hard decline since many years because most people dont want to live without job/family for a game. and in my video I mostly criticize the Lock on Crest for heroic gear (not mythic) and that the higher crests should be available 1 keylevel lower. it not like I want mythic gear dropping in LFR xD

@@wretched3gg I understand, but to me there’s was something fascinating about watching that warrior walk by in full T3. Back then that was crazy to see and it made me motivated to try and achieve that but I understood I never had the time to put into this game to archive that and I was okay with it. Right now the people that have an organized m+ group are running 9s and 10s easily Which is okay, it’s better than organizing 20 man and running a mythic raid, I think this week we all got more gear and the less organized players will be able to get closer to 9s But the people that haven’t even achieved AOTC are the ones complaining that m+ are too hard. We just need to get better, and find a small group of people to get better with.

@@mulltiy yes, I completely agree. I started leveling my alt warlock because either realized how much mistakes I made with my crest management. Did you know there’s a trick to water mark both ring slots with one spark, this also works with trinkets and one handed weapons. So I leveled the new character and I used l this trick to get rings and trinkets to achieve 619. And now my alt warlock is my new main, I achieved 619 in 5 days because of the recraft trick, evidently this has been a thing since dragon flight. it’s little tricks like that’s that is not known to everyone and it just sets us far behind.
