The view of the freeway @4:10 is breathtaking! (Can I use that word..?? its sounds a bit ... well, you know...) The right of way for the freeway leading up to that area is huge as well.. like you say, they'll fit a whole 'nother freeway in the middle! Fantastic views of the City skyline! That same drive would be bloody awesome at night!! Can you do that also???? (please!?)

I hope you can do the 288 through Pasadena and then take 146 to the Fred Hartman bridge to Baytown at night. That is one impressive sight, seeing all the refineries lit up as well as the Hartman bridge itself lit up.

288 is one of the few freeways in Houston that's not a feeder road and provides a relatively good view for drivers (you don't see that many businesses like e.g. ugly strip malls, gigantic parking garages, etc along the freeway unlike feeder roads). The city of Houston would have been much more aesthetically appealing if all those feeder roads hadn't been built...

Another great video that hits close to home, literally (I live in Sugar Land, TX) - used to work for a company just southwest of the 288/610 interchange. Strange thing about 288: heading south just past the Sam Houston Beltway 8 is a sign informing you that the 288 freeway is called the Nolan Ryan Expressway - odd thing is, Nolan was born in Alvin, Texas, and the 288 doesn't go anywhere near Alvin (it's actually on Texas 35 which will eventually be a freeway).

@KewlBoy20 actully as far as milage toronto has a small freeway system and network but a large freeway (expressway) running through the city. Canada has always fell behind on freeway networking when compared to the USA. 401 has its wide sections but it is not structured to take one around the city.. Toronto still relies on its side streets for alot of its destinations. Where as Houston and LA can use expressways to access alot more main areas. Don valley is only north to south.

The Texas Medical District is nothing like the Dallas Skyline. The Dallas Skyline is 10x better than the Houston Skyline. I don't see that many more buildings in the Houston Skyline. Also people say Uptown Houston has its own skyline. I dont think so
