Lots of republicans are against project 2025 and speak out against it. The Bulwark is a KZbin channel that a lot of Conservatives and Democrats get together about these issues. There is the Lincoln Project that is a group of Republican lawyers who put their own money against maga and outing project 2025. Every woman's pregnancy is different, there's a 1001 reasons a pregnancy might be harmful. Judges and lawmakers have no medical training to make these decisions, and they slow walk everything. Pregnancies don't pause for jurisprudence

As a nurse, I contacted my local state representative more than 10 times detailing the many medical conditions that make an abortion necessary to save a woman’s life during a complicated pregnancy. I was met with a complete disregard for anything I had to say. It seems that feelings are more important than facts to our representatives here in Texas. I really want to be represented by logical thinking humans. 😢

I'm originally from Houston, a 3rd-generation Texan. LBJ was president when I was born. When I was about 30, I was pregnant but there was no heartbeat. The doctors ran the tests on the pregnancy hormones that went down, it was not a viable pregnancy so they scheduled a procedure to remove the tissue. That night I started to miscarry and we went to the emergency room where I was admitted and surgery was scheduled for the next day. I ended up having the full miscarriage that night then the surgery to remove anything that was left the next day so that I would not get an infection and die. I believe it was a memorial hospital on I-10. The staff was fantastic because it was a very emotional experience. There was a woman in the room with me going through the same thing. I never thought that I would see a day when women were denied this 100% necessary procedure, when a woman is miscarrying. I moved to Colorado a few years after that, I had always wanted to live here . Colorado is a much better fit for me. But the problem is those small towns, we have them here too, Fort Collins is Trump country but Boulder County and Denver are pretty blue. I'm Catholic and pro-choice. I do not believe in women using terminations as a form of birth control through. Ted Cruz does not care about God.. these people only care about pleasing their god king, tRump. Trump is a ghoul

Wow...what an incredible story. Thx Laurence for highlighting this courageous woman's difficult ordeal. A tough decision for the family BUT for the greater good which was saving her son and her own life. Texas should be ashamed for the way they are treating women as second class citizens. They don't have the money to move states. Sadly, I moved to FL 2 years ago. My parents are older, having health issues,and need help. It isn't ideal. Heck, I lost my Healthcare moving to this backwards state. Sometimes we have to do things we don't want to do in order to support our family

It's difficult to uproot one's life. Its extremely expensive. Women struggle to leave their extended families, support systems and jobs behind. Those decisions are not easy to make under the best of circumstances...

There is not a human being on the planet that didn’t get here without coming thru the body of a woman. We are the mothers of all living. I lost 2 great grandmothers at the age of 28 in the early 1900 ‘s after struggling to deliver children. Medical care and what we now know would have saved them. Yet we legislate as if we are ignorant and their loss of life didn’t matter. We have earned the right to choose our own healthcare free of the ignorance of legislators. And yes it is personal.
