I love when Mikey asked how long it will last. The shaft, for now, is staying. Fittings are great but only a snapshot of what a player bring on that day. All of them are great clubs and it was close, during the Bracket, we've seen them all and every time there's slight difference in performance. That's, mostly, Ian. We're human and have frequent changes in our swing, what's important is he is confident in "THAT CLUB" on the next shot.

As someone who has owned the Ai Smoke TD for 3 weeks now, I can confidently say it's the best driver I've ever hit. Callaway took everything good about last year's Paradym TD and actually improved upon it. Toe strikes now perform like center strikes. I get high launch and low spin on course and the ease of use is off the charts. Never thought I'd be a TD user, since I'm a low launch and low spin player, but this driver is busting the myths.

I finally bought a new driver after nearly 10 years. I played a Taylormade R7 for a LONG time. I tried over the years but nothing really was significantly better. (plus I like the smaller 430 head). But about a month ago I went and tested several drivers at different club fitters in this area. (Titleist, Ping, Srixon, Calloway, TaylorMade) In the end I ended up selecting the PXG Black Ops driver. I am a 10 handicap (use to be a 6) but stopped playing for 8 years (kids, travel work & health issues) but started again about 10 months ago. I am 62 now. With my old R7 I was carrying it 250yds (260 total) when I centered it up. It would drop to about 240 on all other hits on the face. with a pretty wide (left to right) dispersion of about 32 yds. With the PXG driver it was significantly longer on centered strikes 270yd carry (total 280-285yds) - but on my mishits it would still carry 255yd-260yds (270yd total). My dispersion also went down from 32 yds (left - right) to 25 yds left to right. Now I think it's time to get the rest of my bag fitted. I have some large gaps to fill on both ends of my current bag. This driver is incredible.

Was splitting hairs as I tested these two- TD w/ fuji red 6s. Qi 10 w/ AD IZ 6x. I preferred the Callaway because the spin stayed lower on my low mishits. The Callaway also reminded me of the Taylor made r 11 S with a face longer north to south. Was striking it more in the middle. However, swing speeds were the same around 108 and carry distance was around 275 yards.

I feel you have to take everything you see on a launch monitor with a pince of salt. Everything is based on one flight algorithm based on launch and spin at impact. Whereas we know every ball has a different lift and drag profile. So may not fly like flight algo predicts. Good for a baseline and obviously good if your driver is way off.

I loved to see you hit differnt shots shapes for a particular situation ,that you might come across out on the courses, every driver would have 3 or 4 criterias, were you'd be hitting shots on 3 or 4 differnt holes during the fitting, don't get me wrong ill take your game, your swing over mine anyday of the year, but I spoke to a golfer who was at a skill level where movement on the ball was the next step in his golf game, your game is definitely scrach or better, no doubt, your definitely an athlete, I'd love to see a few cuts on a dog leg or high draw over some big trees, I actually love the fade ,cut shot, the draw filght just doesn't fit my eye, when I hit a high cut its a beautiful picture to watch for my eye, but I get it your looking for spin, distance, dispersion, at my level I'm all about looks and feel first and foremost , because I'm not good enough to get out of what these new driver offer, 160 to 180 speed, hahaha in my dreams, carry 230 run out to 250 , I leave an enormous amount of technology on the table using these fine tuned driver heads nowadays. That said I believe in the best product with whatever sporting equipment your buying, because when I'm playing at my highest level I know the equipment is letting me produce high level performance, i hope that rant makes sense to anyone as crazy as I am, hahaha.
