Damn I miss the Old Derailers.... Tony was the man..

The Derailers were so awesome Tony was the real deal great singer and songwriter I was lucky to see them so many times I wish he would consider recording some original Gospel music none of the contemporary worship junk but some good country or southern Gospel got to know him a bit over the Derailer years he was a great down to earth guy

Man, they were so, so good in their prime. Got to see them a bunch on their swings through Oregon. My gawd those shows were fun. So goooood while it lasted...now it's gone.

Brian has done a great job of keeping the Derailers together. Fans can see, hear and dance to them most Thursdays at the Broken Spoke in Austin.

I've seen them so may times. Now that Tony's gone, Brian is holding the band together. A class act, so many influences; particularly Buck Owens. They took from them and made a sound that Nashville feared as they'd raise the bar.

This group gave me that Bakersfield sound feel and I'm a big Buck Owens fan, who in most their songs reminded me of !

Tony Villanueva definitely does not play contemporary worship music or pop music, he plays traditional Gospel country music. He's done some recordings, but I'm not sure if the production is comparable to that of his days with The Derailers. Still, it would be great for him to release something as opposed to nothing.

I saw this band back in 2004 at the broken spoke. They were amazing. It was my birthday and the band gave me a derailers mug, “hardest working band in the music business”. They were so cool and hospitable. Thank you for the memories.

Heard this song this morning, freak'n love it! I first heard The Derailers about a year ago, immediately was impressed and feel in love with their music/sound only to be Derailed when I found out Tony wasn't a part of them anymore and that they don't tour. If they're still performing in Austin I'll travel to go hear them. Love their sound ❤️
