Yeonjun took the match from the box, (I assume it's a cake box with free candle and match) he used it to ignite the firewood when they were on the magic island

Yup, that's right. That was a cake box and Yeonjun took the free match+candles+congratulation note that came with it. It also had two little party horns attached to it (the "black thingy"), most likely as little souvenirs and not as actually horns.

What if, the scene when everything goes haywire is from Taehyun's point of view? Maybe what we see is through Tae's eye. It would explain the suffering. Thats what is hurting. Watching his friends inner suffering and not being able to help

Nice breakdown Laina :)) Okay, something I noticed. The Magic Island has a lot of references to reflections and Run Away. The ghost girl is spotted in mirrors, spotted in the water, and so on. The train is a gateway, though I don't know if you noticed that it's indicator lights between the two stops are a direct reference to 934 (it's between 9 and 10, but doesn't quite get to 10). They access this magic island when it indicates 934 lol. The cat and the girl are two sides of the same thing - probably the guardian of the island, and the boys are punished because they have destroyed it (ghost is probably good, cat is probably bad). Probably their deformities are punishments for what they did - the ghost was maybe trying to warn them but they didn't listen, instead deciding to have fun. The cat/ghost then tells them to remember, and the deformities are supposed to be reminders of what they have done, which probably means this is a prequel (?) to NOAS. Sorry for the mess, this is so confusing lmao.

Right when Laina mentioned Yeonjun was sitting on purple moss, I realized it looked similar to a scene in Eternally, where Yeonjun’s surrounded by purple pansies.

Maybe through the train, they can pass through dimensions? As the train zips by several familiar elements from BU flash by like the shattering lightbulb (Taehyung's VCR), fire (Yoongi?), demolition of a building (might connect to the clearing of property for apartments by Jin's father mentioned in the Notes) and the ocean scene (the mellowness of the music mimics the music used during the Reels). There are some theories that the "magic" used by TXT is forbidden, so perhaps the presence of the cat and the chaos at the end of the MV can represent their "punishment." We also know that the green-blue eyed cat makes a deal with Jin during his darkest hour in BU and gives him the ability to turn back time, so maybe the cat is also taking advantage of TXT in their time of danger?

I think the "ghost girl" is the gardian/spirit of the magical island and also the cat with two diffrent color eyes. The spirit of the island punished them for making the island catch fire. BTS is fighting the dragon in make it right but txt ride the dragon. Dragon = bad

For me it's almost like Yeonjun isn't fazed at all the entire time, like he knew what's bound to happen to them. I remembered Jimin's story of how he saw a kid with the surname Choi murdered. What if it was Soobin? That's why he was the different one (teaser refrence!) And how he was the only one hearing the strange noises when they were playing with fire and the ghost appeared cuz he used to be dead. My theory is that Yeonjun made a deal with the cat, to bring Soobin back and to erase everyone's memories, in return, the cat must have demanded something. After things escalated, at the start of the fire, he looked defeated. Almost as if he knew it would end up like this, because he knew he broke his deal or his PROMISE with the cat. It angered the cat, so the creature curses them, giving them the 'pains' Yeonjun knew he was at fault, that's why it says in his teaser it was because of him. In Nap of a Star, after getting the horns teh cat attacked him. Maybe like a warning? Plus I see them playing with the fire as them trying to cast a spell that would keep them permanently in Magic Island (Beomgyu's teaser says "What should happend? Just do it!) , it went wrong which was expressed as fire going out of control. In Runaway we see them suddenly setting off fires, and trying to put them out. What if those were them attempting to learn how to cast the spell properly. (Taehyun making sure they knew how to reverse it if it went wrong again) They didn't want to alert the cat so they find a different way to get to Magic Island (the door in the pool) and burn the huge door (gateway back to their reality) And succeed. The mirror ghost is definitely a new character. Dragons = hints for our possible next MV Can't We Just Leave The Monsters Alive

Magic Island is a prequel to RUN AWAY - we see YJ ‘s burn faded in RUN AWAY - also YJ firestarter abilities r out of control here but then in RUN AWAY - he wears glasses to keep his fire abilities contained - in MAGIC ISLAND texts - they talk about going to the school to find the ghost - in the RUN AWAY intro they actually sneak into the school n I think SOOBIN is keeping the door to MAGIC ISLAND closed via a spell - so that they dont go back ever n YJ can’t have the fire go out of control

When the train hit and the members were going thru the pain it looks like Soobin said "Huening Kai" ... maybe because since Kai is the one with the wings & in Nap Of A Star Yeonjun met Kai (I'm bad with words I can't explain what I'm tryna say :/ ) and since Soobin is the centre of this Dream Chapter Magic... maybe that's why he called out for Kai At 11:48 in the MV ... he could just be yelling but it's BigHit so we never know lol
