okay so many people seem to really like tinnitus but my favorite is actually farewell neverland (with devil by the window as a close second). it makes me feel like the main character in a movie where a group of people go on a voyage and get lost or smth. idk it's just sort of magical and mysterious...8.6/10 and my least favorite would probably be happy fool...i mean it's okay, just like a 6.7/10 ig

Soobin‘s falsettos on this album have me *OBSESSED* his entire voice control in goodbye neverland and sugar rush ride = my jaw is on the floor. Also Beomgyu‘s vocals are really able to shine through this time around, I didn’t even know our boy could get so high but god he sounds amazing. I think that sugar rush ride is really good the only thing that I need to get used to is by the end of the sung the part where they sing „Sugar rush rush sugar rush ya“ I get why it’s there but I‘ll need some time. Otherwise I thought Tinnitus would be my main slayer and then goodbye neverland came with them high notes and now I‘m torn 😩😩 luxury problems as a moa

i thought sugar rush ride was really clever with incorporating the 'temptation' ! temptation usually has a negative connotation, hinting at a temporary high to cover up something more murky. sugar rush ride does this really well, by luring the listener in with a dreamlike melody before completely switching up in the chorus into something darker. i havent listened to the rest of the album yet but am very excited to do so now.

I usually don't like anti-drops but Sugar Rush was instant love lol and yeah drunk-dazed was the first thing I thought too, also kinda wished for a YJ rap since he's so good at melodic rap but it's ok. Devil by the window is so good (and the choreo??!!) I wish it had one last chorus but slowed down. Tinnitus is so good, my hips are moving but I'm also a rock :) Farewell and Happy fools aren't my favorites but I respect them

i needed to listen to songs like devil by the window and farewell, neverland from txt. those songs are HEAVILY based on vocal ability. i just needed to listen to txt singing their souls out. along the years, they have improved their vocals SO MUCH to the point they became exceptional singers who can pull performances like this. i think we can safely say that singing is one of txt’s greatest strengths now. of course, since they didn’t have songs that were THIS dependant on vocals before, the general public wasn’t really aware of this. but not anymore lmao

txt are pulling through so excellently with this EP. they demonstrated a great example of how you can still use a common concept [ex: summery pop / sexy. (i find bgs do this concept a lot and it usually ends up being generic)] but still make it stand out / different from the others aesthetically in sound and visuals. as for the songs on the album. i love how in the title track, the antidrop perfectly compliments the pre-chorus and previous verses. it executed the feeling of being high on something and you’re at the climax. then boom, you feel like the high is starting to fade away and the realization is kicking in, but you don’t care you start to crave more. then the slightly aggressive prechrous right after it is the epitome of wanting to feed the addiction. i love the tittle track so much. it may or may not be my fav tt from them so far. i’ll have to listen to it more to decide. moving on i also loved how most of the songs on the album didn’t stray away from feeling that the concept gave off visually. the sound of the tracks all fit perfectly and work together with the theme of being in a fairytale…. a tiny thing i consider when reviewing tracks on albums is if the songs can be casually listened to by fans and non fans or put in themed playlists. i always enjoy that txt makes music that you can actually just listen to in your daily life. maybe im just babbling about nothingness but i really enjoyed this comeback.

i will come back later to give my thoughts on the album, but for the song i thought it was good but we have GOT TO ABOLISH the barely 3 minute song. as soon as the second chorus came i was already worried abt how it would end & yea, they should’ve done a bridge & another chorus. but i did like it, it’s very much 2010s club music. as for the mv, i wish we got more shots of them on the beach bc it was oh so gorgeous. but i do like this, i love the blush & glitter oh my god their stylists deserve a raise. i do HATE the clothes, im just not a fan of distressed & burnt clothing. also to fulfill this more “sexy” & “lost boy” concept, i wish they all grew out their hair. oooh and i wish they had a storybook intro to fit that storybook theme, but im just nitpicking at this point. yeonjun & beomgyu rlly owned this song/music video for me.

I honestly think Tinnitus is an embarrassingly funny fun song to listen to. I get that technically they are singing about the emptiness they feel after a VERY high trippy trip to heaven. Yeonjun's 'yeah yeah buzzing sound wing' sounds like he's trying to be energetic but failing to do so because of aftereffects and exhaustion. The aftereffects include heavy ringing in the ears (tinnitus) and feeling like a rock after experiencing hallucinations of being a rockstar. I love the song but it's embarrassed me especially when I heard Yeonjun's 'wing' and 'i'm just a rock'. Afterwards the aftereffects wear off too and they realize they need to quit taking the trippy stuff so they decide to leave their heaven called Neverland because there is no eternity in reality.

sugar rush ride is everything I needed from them after good boy gone bad 😬 the whole song besides the chorus is very whimsical and txt like, which the industry desperately needs after boy group discography in 2022. the chorus lowkey sounds like taste by stray kids danceracha, but I’m not complaining that song was literally one of my most streamed last year. also, watching devil by the window and sugar rush ride performed live is a whole different experience bro. I’m ascending. mv wise I love that we’re getting some story back like the old days, my hope is that next comeback the 5+ minute mvs will return. also hoping for some more mvs in this album, at least one that will likely be devil by the window since I doubt they’ll pass up a chance to promote another all english song. honestly have no idea what an mv for that would look like but I’m sure it would be stunning. and I don’t want to jinx anything but fingers crossed we’re getting back the movie like mvs for the final track of the album (i.e. nap of a star, magic island, eternally, frost). please hybe I need fifteen minutes of txt being lost boys escaping neverland/magic island. do it for the nation. but after what happened last comeback I have trust issues now… overall it’s a solid txt comeback. nothing’s topping my queen lovesong anytime soon but that’s asking the impossible. I honestly hope this is a sign that enhypen’s old quality will be coming back too this year. but no doubt this era is going down in the history books

The mv was so beautiful, a work of art with all the vibrant colors and well composed frames! I love the song as well, antidrops have always been especially delicious for my ears 😁 happy fools is my least favorite as well, it’s just too simple for me (a reason why I could never get behind western pop music) but yk it’s fine and also to me kind of sounds like the lovechild of jam & butterfly and rocket by seventeen. Aside from srr I also really love devil by the window (obsessed w dark beats and their whisper-singing) and farewell neverland which just has this sad lightness to it? The song itself has motifs from songs like Drunk Dazed, Antifragle, Ditto, Hot... The genius of the song is in the combination of ALL these songs! It is extremely difficult to make it happen musically! The song shows that Neverland (the k-pop industry) is an illusory world that "drugs" innocent children who think they are idols and sink into this illusion! The industry doesn't produce a conveyor belt of identical, nameless idols who can't even decide for themselves when to stop doing k-pop - the company decides for them! And the other songs on the album are pieces of a puzzle - they reveal the whole picture! The song is written for fans like you😂😂
