The whole song revolves only on 3 chords, but if you find it difficult you can move them with capo on the 3rd fret with the chords Dm Em Am, and if you want to play the voice part, pause the video and watch the tabs, they are easy

Can you explain why you have the cloth tied at the top of the guitar?

I think it's supposed to act like a capo? it's more of an elastic band to keep pressure on the strings but I'm not sure

I think this is to eliminate the extraneous ringing that can occur on an electric guitar. Maybe I'm wrong and this is for something else.
