Scott, I can totally relate to your love of Interpol. They were one of the first indie rock bands I got into as a teenager in the earlier and mid 2000s. I've always really loved the drums and bass on Obstacle 1.

Scott, this is such a nice format that I can't help but smile and thank you for making this. Would love to ask you something, if you had to begin again from scratch your music career but with your current knowledge, with a budget of 1000 dollars and 1 or 2 synths to choose, what would you get?

That is a great question! I've been researching synths to get a similar sound as Tycho and it's a tough decision. Just looked up the Matriarch and saw its a couple grand lol. I've been using software synths for a while and unless you're a master sound designer, its a tough sound to achieve and get the same feel. If you find out some answers or decisions you make, let me know!

@@jasongravely7217 I asked the same thing in the last stream and due to budget he answered for Korg Minilogue (original not XD) quite a nice snappy synth indeed, never had it tho. I had the XD and wasn't sold on the envelopes.
