Incredible synth programming on yet another brilliant track. The visuals remind me of Jordan Belson, who used to live right below me in SF. 👌

Hey Tycho, I am setting up my midi device to work "in banks" like yours, but can't seem to work out what target I should map to a source on my controller? Would you use the Mapping group, main preset or the helgoland presets for that, and how do you assign them? Thanks in advance and keep up the good work!
@kristianalexanderpedersen73824 күн бұрын
After further investigation it looks like you have the mappings stored as fx chains and not presets in helgoland, is that correct?

I got here 13 days later. Better late than never, right? I actively found it by writing "Tycho" in the search bar and KZbin was like: "Hey man... here you have!".

I first found out about Tycho back in the Past is Prologue days, circa 2010. I was driving up from Columbus, OH to Detroit, MI to see Telefon Tel Aviv at the Ghostly International 10th Anniversary show at a venue called The Magic Stick. We were just outta high school and had 0 street smarts or ability, and ended up getting off at the wrong stop from the hotel to the venue and had to walk about 10 blocks through downtown Detroit. For kids like us, that was a bit of a shock. When we finally made it to the venue, we were stressed and exhausted and unfortunately about 3 hours early (did I mention..0 street smarts?). That night, I wondered who would be opening for Telefon Tel Aviv. Neither of us had looked, as we didn't care and were just there for Telefon Tel Aviv (still my fav group to this day). Then, as we were cowering in the back awkwardly, beers in-hand, waiting for whoever was coming on to get going and get it over with so we could see some live TTA, I started to hear the song Past is Prologue blast throughout the venue. My friend I just looked at each-other wide-eyed cause we'd never heard anything like it and were in love 30 seconds in. We quickly scurried as close up as we could get to see who was on stage, and lo and behold, I was bestowed with my first introduction to Tycho! And it was fucking EPIC!!!! I am still listening to this day. Some of the newer albums don't resonate with me, but that's OK as long as Tycho is making what he wants (and I know that he is). Tycho is def in my top 3 musicians, and has been since that fateful night in Detroit. And I scour the internet for music I like, rarely finding anything, sometimes a song here and there...but a musician as a whole? That happens once every couple years for me cause I am so picky, so it's been such a gift to have Tycho just shoved my face live as a surprise and I will never forget it for the rest of my life :) Thank you so much for the memories and music Tycho ❤ much love to everyone here❤Is it Aug 30 yet
