32:36, 31:51 - there was/is also the OSKO of the MMC Feral Rex. Combined, that Predaking is about the size of CW/UW Devastator (which is also about the size of the OSKO Warbotron Bruticus you mentioned earlier), however the individual predacons in bot mode are about the size of MP11 seekers. Add to that, when the goin' was good & overflowin with KOs, one could get the OSKO set of 6 (they added a yellow rampage with a optional battlecat mask) for $60-$70bucks. They also did OSKO into the black/purple Nero Rex color scheme. There was a guy (maybe two) that made upgrade kits for that OSKO predaking to be about the size of constructor (TW/Zeta Devy).

Appreciate the effort you put into this, Mike! What I like, as someone who’s come back to collecting after a long stint away, is that you don’t just show the G1 figure, you also so the masterpiece options out there. That helps me a bunch 😊

And MMC is my Bruticus. Works for me and I think it looks great! Some people have an issue about certain combiners being taller than others, but when you're talking about maybe an inch or two, it really doesn't matter too much when it comes to this. Being a sicko here, most women say that an inch or two does make a difference, but that's a different thing! 🤣 I generally like to look of MMC's Bruticus, and I am please with it. If you're happy with something and it works at the most important thing. Just an example, few months back I bought the pengu toys Omega supreme that show z was selling for 40 bucks. I took it apart, scanned it, upscale the digitized files by 125%, and put it through my injection machine and I got myself a beautiful Omega supreme for a very decent price. So it depends on how you look at something. Which I don't think too many people can look that far down the road and come up with something like that. Meaning thinking of through. But that's my take on that.

Hey Mike, The reason why Tailgate is called Tailgate is because his front bumper is actually an electric magnet, one of the things he likes to do is turn it on, go into neutral, and have the other Autobot in front of him drag him along. Normally when he's riding he is extremely close to their rare bumper, so that's the reason why he's called 'Tailgate'. He's literally the essence of the word. And Swerve was never really part of the show apart from a background character. Apart from being stepped on, he didn't have a presence in the show. But he was funny as hell in the comic. If I'm getting his name right, Sam Wentworth, the guy that plays Guy in Galaxy Quest or Hammer in iron Man 2. He's kind of like the plucky comical relief. Love the character and I love what fans toys did with them apart from the feet. I don't mind the Chrome on the thighs but they should have kept his feet white like his shins. That's probably the only detracting thing I'd say about the figure because I love it otherwise!

Absolutely loving these videos! Maybe only 2 more left through 1988 as I do not think there has been anything made for 1989 when everything went to Micro Masters.

I agree, I have the XTB and the THF version, and I prefer the XTB. I keep the other in alt mode. 😂 But I don't like the look of that new Magnus. Too much red on the chest. They may change it, but I'm not terribly interested either.

Definitely agree with most of your assessments. FT Scourge is my scourge, xtransbots will be my sweeps. Actually, FT wins out on most. Love my Zetas. I only have one FT aerial-bot. Didn't wanna invest all that money. Waiting on some decent versions of Octane and Broadside. Maybe a Whirl and Roadbuster. Also, I believe there were two other versions of Predaking. Definitely a Jinbao OS MMC one.

I really enjoyed this… I always like your unbiased and objective perspective… and my preference for each figure is pretty much the same as your (98%)… It’s a lot of work that goes into making these videos… so I appreciate you making them… Great job once again - Thanks…

Awesome vid. What I would have done different would be XTB Menasor over DX9. I’m am really disappointed with DX9’s lack of paint and sculpt of the lower legs. The head sculpt isn’t the greatest either. I think I would have been happier with the XTB.

I believe the Fans Toys Magnus should be this fall. We have Soundblaster and his Cassettes, Slingshot, and Scrapper before him for sure which gets us to August or September, but after that I think it is just Magnus and Scavenger that are ready to go for the rest of this year at this point (and Optimus, but they haven't actually announced him yet, just showed him with the Magnus color pictures). The closest Fans Hobby figure I can think of to Broadside was the Roadbuster they announced (MB-07) that they never released. The only G1 figures FH has done that came before the Masterforce era (Powermasters and 2nd gen Headmasters) are the Monsterbots. Roadbuster is the only other one they announced. I had never considered the point you made about Swerve and Tailgate's names seeming like they should be swapped before. Like_Toys did make an upgrade kit for POTP Preadking to increase it's size, but it is stupid expensive.

UT Ragnaros is a decent Bruticus, also there is a DNA upgrade kit for Predaking. Love these lists!

Considering this is more or less a "complete" guide I think it would have been worth mentioning the size difference for the individual Stunticons since that is a VERY big deal for some people, either thinking FT and DX9 are too big or that XTB are too small.

And MMC Defensor is going to be around 6 to $700 depending if you're only going to buy one copy of it (I usually buy two of each). Personally I think it looks fine. I prefer it over the x trans bots cuz I'm more of a toy guy over the toon. Hot shot is roughly about 205 bucks over at Show Z.

Predaking...one huge problem is that even the Jinbao OSKO of MMC Feral Rex still looks like it works perfectly with CHUG stuff (though the indimavidual Predacons would all be ol' skool Leader class by comparison just for their size alone). Same goes for the Jinbao OSKO of Generation Toy Gravity Builder. Menasor: I don't think you mentioned the Generation Toy/Transform Mission one. It's very IDW stylized, though. (Transform Mission & Botron War - the peeps behind Warbotron Bruticus & Computron - are both Generation Toy) Bruticus: That Jinbao OSKO of Warbotron is probably the cheapest option. Being heavily stylized may not fit the current MP aesthetic (probably wouldn't have fit the previous aesthetic, either). MMC has the most expensive option right now. Unique Toys is a decent price, but the indimavidual bots kinda suck and Bruticus is a bit too tiny. Zeta also has sucky indimavidual bots. I don't think FansToys has done a Ratbat yet, but if they do, it'll suck to get, just like Takara: it'll be included with Soundblaster, a character who only shows up in 1987 and only in Japan (for The★Headmasters). 😑

The trailer becoming armor gimmick is...corny. Thought it was corny when Pat Lee did it for the Dreamwave comic. Makes absolutely no sense, even within the rules of the TF universe. I mean, how does that happen...his arms suddenly just appear within the armor? I'm getting the FT's version, but only for white Magnus. A perfect version of this would be how the G1 toy achieved this but with up to date aestetic and articulation.
