We discovered them at MEGAFEST in GA 2004 or 2005. We were so floored and still didn't know what we had just experienced after they performed. It's like Tye and GA were from out of space and after then, everybody wanted to duplicate their style, ministry and etc but couldn't because they didn't have the same conviction to draw people to Christ. Those others groups just wanted fame but TYE spent time in God's presence about all the details and it showed in the music. That first album is nostalgic. 💜💜💜

Aw yes the first album, crazily I missed this era because I was too young, had I been about a few years older I would have caught it in full bloom but I do remember when Tye & G.A. came on Bobby Jones Gospel and the Stellar awards funny with John P. Kee in the same year of 2004, I remember not knowing what to make of them because their ministry, sound, and look was so energetic and radically different from anything going on at the time, Tye was not Kirk or Tonex or anyone else but himself, authentic and anointed. I kept watch though and I became a fan through the “Victory” album (2006) and by “Stand Out” (2008) I was all in and not coming out, they had me spiritually hooked! I didn’t purchase Life until about 09’ or ‘10 when I was 16 and man what an effect it had on me. The “Life” album, cd release concert/tour was the high point of everything Tye did from 1996 up to 2004 being the peak of their heavy choir sound of the late 90’s and early ‘00s which they had been doing all but underground for all those years before. Revolutionary is all I can say, they’ve been a huge blessing to my life and times.
