Great looking tiny buzzer mate. That would be a killer on the brookies and browns over here. Got to tie some for my boxes. Thanks again my friend for sharing with us all. Hope you and your family are doing well and keeping safe. Best Regards, Ken 🐟🦃

Lovely Davie, and it would be interesting to see if Frank Sawyer's buzzer was any better. His book claimed that as it was free to turn, it would be more attractive. I however doubt that it was tested, and saving the faf of having to tie your nylon to bits of wool, is a big bonus, so I'll go with your fly Davie. As an add on, I have dressed Pheasant tail nymphs on the silver mylar body as you did here, and done well on them too, my thinking being that hatching nymphs use gas to burst out and it can look silver under water. Great video as always.

Beautiful fly, nicely done. I have been wondering the purpose of waxing the thread as you tie? I wax the thread when I spin dubbing on, is this the same type wax? Thanks, I so enjoy your videos.

Hi Mark, I have attached a link to a video I made about the wax I use. it's mainly used to help grip and strengthen the thread especially when tying on the hackle and wing...It will also help hold the dubbing much as you do with the wax you may be using..I'm glad you liked the fly.. All the very best Davie.. kzbin.info/www/bejne/f3-Xf2xofJZnjsk

Thanks Davie. I think that will help tying hair wings that want to slip as you tie them on. I really appreciate you answering and acknowledging all comments. Very considerate.

Elegant simplicity! Where do you buy your pheasant tails from? Mine barely made it to the thorax turns before running out.

Hi Tc Northants, I buy from Veniards in bulk so that I can select the best tails for tying these, I also buy as off Ebay from time to time as some of the game keepers sell the tails..It is an elegant and simple fly as you said... All the very best Davie
