Beautiful wee flea that Davie. Love the style. Ive just finished half a dozen of them for my box for next years trip to the Machair Lochs in South Uist. Over the winter I will do some more in different colours. I've also be tying some of Stan Headleys WOIGO Kate McLaren muddlers. They also look great flies for South Uist. Thanks for the tips. 👍👏🎣

Beautiful as usual Davie. I am awaiting my heron hackle I could only purchase in Canada. I got in touch with a gentleman who had grey, black, I am having trouble finding white earned pheasant though. Could the grey be bleached white before dying to another color? I will probably leave it grey and dye it anyway. I have found pheasant rump suitable for practice. I am looking for a dee pattern that uses Argus pheasant for the wings. I saw it on KZbin but can't find it again. It may have been taken down. I wondered if you knew the pattern. Hi Sean, I was very lucky to get a hold of some white eared pheasant and I'm sure I would struggle to find any again...The Blue Eared Pheasant is much easier to find and can be dyed black, the grey and the black will tye you many patterns..I don't know of the video but if I come across it I will send you the link.. Hi William, I dyed the seals fur I used in the video myself but I'm happy to use any that I can find, if it was not right then I would mix in a little red or even flash to help it..Merry Christmas.. All the very best Davie...

Hi Mike, I use Veniards Clear varnish which is one I have found to work really well for me over many years, another reason is that it does not have a strong odour like many others I have tried in the past...I'm glad you liked the fly.. All the very best Davie
