That video is exactly what I would like to see for all the fly tying video. Lot's of times I am not sure how to rig them so this was very helpful. Thanks for the great production!!!

Jay. Great video on fly tying and instruction on floats. I may try the floats next fall when in the middle of the day seeing the fish is much harder when I cover many of the deeper holes from the Altmar bridge down to the power lines. Tight lines .

Your videos have been a great help to a long time spring creek angler trying to figure out the steelhead game. For the body of this fly, I have just been using a thread body coated with clear nail polish and then dubbing loop to tie in the thorax. The flies are essentially invincible at that point and that has helped get my flies to the bottom, without as much weight.

Always illuminating vids from you Jay! I have had the pleasure of fishing with Jay over 25 times and it’s been like an advanced college class in fishing and tying. I see where someone is asking you about that knot, I have not used any other knot since 2005 and it has never failed. Maybe a quick vid in that knot( I just call it “Jay’s knot “) would be good, and yes , the dubbing vid would be great!!

Jay, nice fly! I am interested in your dubbing mix. Also what color have you had your most success with? I have been spending a lot of time at the vise lately and really enjoy learning new patterns.

For this fly, Black is the best color for the body. As for the bead I use Pink shirt cruise in orange. The dubbing is a home next Of rabbits In ice dub uv
