I've been chasing my dreams for over 60 some years. The problem I've learned is that my dreams ran faster than I can run. And now pushing 70 my running/chasing days are coming to a close. So I'll just keep walking after them. Those dreams are as old as I am for the most part so they just might be slowing down also. I'm hoping that I'll catch a few of them before I'm 90 that way I'll have a good 30yrs. to enjoy some of them. Once I reach 120 then I'll lay down and say I've lived a full life. Then it's up to the All Mighty God to let me stick around longer or just take me out of here...

@ Good simple Living. Bumble bee junction grew carrots really well. Their hint was, water them gently around the plant but in the morning... 😊. They are delicate like ferns. It was a helpful hint amongst others. Think they are ex military vets who support vets 👍🏼💁‍♀️💕

Got out on my tractor today with the brush bull BB-60 attached. Cleared around our chicken/duck coop, around the 36 solar panel array and along our 1/4 mile long driveway. It always amazes me how quick and tall the prairie grass gets. Driving the tractor through 8 foot high grass is like sailing a ship through the ocean. Took a break from stacking winter wood, we have about 1.5 cord out of the 5 cords needed by November. Work on the homestead never ends... love the video of your family outing, we hope to take that hike some day.

Enjoy the rain it keeps everything nice and green, and cool! I would take the rain to hot sun any day! It's been 106° in the Texas panhandle 🤮, yucky!!!! It's a tough year to build with material shortages/pricing. I'm a General Contractor/ framer, be sure to put temporary bracing in the middle, 90° to all interior and exterior walls, especially if you have to wait for trusses or if you're going two stories, with floor joist. Later you'll be able to use the bracing material in the rest of the build. Good luck 💪💪

Surprisingly, it is not as bad as it seems. I worked with a group that did hardscaping. They would cut flagstone and similar with a circular saw in a tub of water. The blade sprayed water everywhere. The saw was drenched. Never a problem. Just be sure to use a grounded outlet.

I remember how it was to do the double top plates while working on my timberframe build in Sketchup. For some reason it's easy to forget some. I'm enjoying your content because it's something that I hope to be doing myself in the coming 10 years. I am not sure on which state to buy land though. I do realise it will mean a lot of hard work and also a lot of not spending money so I would be able to buy a nice size of land to make my own.
