Melissa, you are bringing back so many memories that they are crunching my mind, as they flow out of each memory cell,, and I start to relive them by watching you ride your fence line. Yes craig, ik what you mean. I remember well the times when my husband & I were Melissa & Jeremy's age riding our Tennessee walker horses on the farm shooting heads off copperheads. The freeness of the wind kissing your cheeks & blowing thru your hair while racing thru the pastures. Made us feel as if it were the wild wild west once again. Seeing deer & foxes etc. Staying up all night while caring for new foals being birthed. Watching the groundhogs who decided our hard work in the garden was a free for all call to dinner! Unfortunately he had a 🎯 on his forehead.😕 Poor fellow but he definitely was a fat little hog when I caught him. Was a mighty fine life I'll always remember! Does my heart good to see these kids enjoying the fruit of their labor. It's difficult at best but we'll worth it. Fine memories when you sadly get too old to continue that lifestyle even tho in your mind & spirit you feel & wish you still could. Thank the Lord I have those memories! 😇

@@dlspiritdancer9548 Sometimes I start thinking that dementia or Alzhimers might be an easier way to go, if it wasn't so hard on those around you. In my case, at 75, suffering from so many anomalies like Parkinson Disease, Rhumetoid Arthritis, Neuropathy and a host of spine surgeries that have left horrible pain issues, I would welcome issues that interrupted my thought process. However, because I don't, watching this young family do what they do, takes my mind away from my issues and refocused my mind from the issues I endure.

The most encouraging thing about following your family’s journey is watching the slow, positive progress with each day in your lives on this beautiful homestead. And comparing that against the deliberate destruction occurring in our country, at breakneck speed. Good versus evil. Good always wins in the end. Keep doing your amazing work. Many of us are cheering you on from the sidelines!
@natashamiller48603 жыл бұрын
Yes! Watching their journey and their progress has been such a welcomed reprieve and respite from the onslaught we face daily as the world around us seems to burn (both literally and figuratively) a bit more daily. Seeing the wholesomeness in their family, the love and faithfulness in their marriage, and the dedication they have both to each other and to their children as well as to their home build helps us forget the insanity surrounding us…the insanity that seems to encroach upon us every waking hour, seeking to engulf us or to sweep us away in that torrent of evil that is overcoming this world more and more all the time.

Eventually everyone realizes that reality, life does not go on forever and old age sets in and then the life you had and worked so hard to create passes on to another...maybe a son or daughter, a grandchild...but I believe that you will have such a good healthy life there and being loved by children, grandchildren and great grandchildren...you may be building for "others"...but the word LEGACY stays strong and your hard work will become family history and discussed around the fireplace or by the campfire of "look what our granddad and grandmama built for all of us to always know where our roots run deep.....no matter where life takes us...this is home".
