Those pieces are great ties Michael, I don't think "Q" could compare ;o) So no junction tube at the hook end, you just leave a long tag when you tie on the hook and it jams inside the tube? I've wanted to try "slip jigs" when I first saw the Do It molds for them, but I'd rather buy them if I could find them. This Spy system is easier and more versatile. Thanks. BTW, that was pretty slick how you opened up the hole on the "fish mask" :o)) thanks again!

Thanks Joe. To be honest I'm no match for Q. He is the man - even cooler than Mr. Bond i think. Even though... uhm...Bond get's the hot chicks ;0) Yep... no junction tube. The hook slides right into the tube - if i want the hook to extend further back, I just leave more bare tube behind the fly. I haven't much knowledge about Slip jigs, but I guess it's kind of the same setup, using some kind of bullet weights? I got the trick on the softheads from my friend Morten, who is the guy that designed the Pro Sportfisher tube system. Cheers Michael :0)

That is a beautiful fly. I haven't seen you with any new videos lately. :( ..I hope you'll be back with more, I always look forward to the new flies you show us how to tie. Cheers!

Thanks Old Gal Fisher, I will be back with new stuff. Just winter hibernation, and a tennis elbow, that doesn't allow me to swing a fly rod. Cheers, Michael :0)

Michael would these lures be buoyant or sinking ? thanks bud, as usual expert work
@MichaelJensensAngling Жыл бұрын
Timothy, these lures can float, have neutral bouyancy or deep dive - depending on the head you use. See more details in this other video on the Spy System. kzbin.info/www/bejne/foXOi4WlgL2YhpY Hope that helps you out. Cheers, Michael

Nice tie Michael. I really like how this fly hangs in the strike zone. Looks quite buoyant. Are you using a sink tip or sinking line and just letting this float up, hover and then giving action?
@MichaelJensensAngling5 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot. Mostly I use full sinking lines, density to match depth and current. And yes, I let these flies hover in long pauses between each strip. When using a floating line, I add a small cone at the front of the soft head. Tight lines, Michael :0)

Are you fishing this without hooks?🙂

No I fish it with a single or a treble hook. You can see how i rig these flies and lures in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/foXOi4WlgL2YhpY cheers, Michael :0)
