An absolute wild brown trout killer on the western lakes particularly up against the shoreline in a wave and over rocky limestone formations...an amazing cocktail of pattern color and light transmission... a strong fish take + hook-up feels like you've snagged the rocks 😄

Hi Davie...I fished this pattern on chew valley many moons ago think it was back in the late 80s..wish it was catch and release back then cos i was catching a fish on every cast...ill sure be tying a few more..Thanks for a great video....

The third cape looks like an old Dave Rice/Wapsi cape. They were the closest thing to a true Golden Olive (as per Malone) I've found which were mass produced. Rod Tye always had a good golden olive too.

Davie, thank you for the Kingsmill series, if you have the book can you share the images of the bumbles along with the materials from the original text? It’s almost impossible to find the book in the USA, much less the materials. But they are my favorite flies. Cheers
