In this video we tie a slight variation on a Clark's Stonefly. This is one of our favorite Golden Stonefly patterns, particularly for discriminate fish feeding in smooth water. The Clark's Stone doesn't have the buoyancy that a Chubby Chernobyl or a Norm Woods might have, but that's what makes it such a great patter for selective fish. With it's lack of floatation, it sits lower in the water, wing flush with the surface, offering a very realistic silhouette when viewed from below. The Clark's stone is a must have when fishing a golden stone hatch on any river in the West.
