As always, another work of art Dave. I do not fly fish or tie flies, but I always enjoy watching you tie a fly. In regard to the pheasant wing where you mention it is normally red and now dyed green; Do you dye them yourself and how do you get the feathers to take on the color? I thought the feathers would shed/reject the water and color.

Hey Davie, do you have to bleach that golden pheasant to get it to take the dye. Great idea for spey hackles, I have been using some burnt goose. Lots to prep but looks good. Not to your eye I suppose but I am just learning to tie these flies. I wish I could find someone to teach me about the feather wing classics. I know you are a master at it but no time for teaching. Too bad too because I can attribute my excellent basics to repeatedly watching and learning from you. All the best to you and yours. To be honest with you I don't like any of the Jungle Cock subs so I would rather not use any at all, but if you really wanted an eye on the fly use a small adhesive eye on the side of the head and use a resin to highlight it... All the very best Davie
