Thank you for taking the time to show all the details of how to build your dubbing brush table and showing how it works. Very well done and very helpful info.

Nice design. I am getting into making dubbing brushes and will use your design to make brushes for articulated streamers. Thanks for the instruction.

Thank you, glad the video helped out. As long as its functional, thats all that matters. Would love to get up to Iceland one of these days.

Hey Josh at about the 19:10 mark, you mention drilling a 7/64” hole.. “and run it as it’s sitting in here” you say… and this is where the bearing falls out on you… like where is this hole going and what does it do?

The 7/16" hole goes all the way through the 1" long 1-1/8" diameter dowel that goes on the outside of the frame where the drill is located. Then it goes through the center of the 1-1/8" dowel about 1/2 - 5/8" deep into the inside dowel (the one that fell off during the demonstration). You will have to thread the 3/8" x 2" bolt all the way through the 1" dowel, then push it through the hole in the bearing and thread the bolt into the inside dowel so it is firmly secured into the inside dowel (not all the way through it - this is where you are going to place one of the eyehooks to tie the twisting wire onto) After prefittng make sure you glue the inside dowel onto the bolt so it doesnt fall off. One suggestion is to use two thin 3/8" washers, one on each side of the bearing to prevent the wood dowel from swelling and fouling the bearing movement. It may take a little longer bolt (2-1/4") to allow for the extra thickness of the washers. So what you have is the head of the bolt where the drill goes--> completely through the 1" long dowel--> through the first washer if used--> through the bearing hole --> through the second washer if used--> and threaded into the predrilled hole partly into the longer dowel where the eyehook is located to attach the brush wire.

Hey Thomas, I will see if I can track down my scribbles I used as a blueprint and put them in the description of this video.

You tried putting a spring in where you have your spacer? You can get ideal tension on the brush as it spins and tightens. I didn't see how you set your wire to make sure it didn't over tighten with the twist.

I hadn't thought about that, I'm still experimenting with this new setup. I'll have to give that a shot buddy.

Haha, I found that PBR helped with the number headaches. I'm planning on building a half dozen or so here soon. Still a few tweaks to be made, but I think it should be ready before too long buddy.
