Humbling! Thank you both for your courage in telling your stories. I work in the field of mental health. The worst part of MI/Addiction is that the disease makes you think you don’t need treatment. When you’re told you have Diabetes and this is how it is treated, the patient says, “Ok, let’s do that.” For many, the disease itself causes a cognitive distortion and the patient says, “No, that’s not what’s going on here-You’ve got me wrong.” You are doing so much to educate and support those in recovery, those still struggling and the families and friends who are supporting or want to support their loved one but feel lost in their effort. @LovelyLace: You are so right. I am realizing more and more about the acting world after these Sunday SOM sessions. I've watched GH for 40 years and its my escape -every day I get to go into the Port Charles fantasy land. After seeing these interviews I appreciate actors even more. I now think, they help us through escapism, but who helps them? What are their outlets? Because if it's TV that's tough. They are probably critiquing other actors and comparing themselves all the time and that's a head game. I hope our comments of love and support help. Especially through this channel. We really care. Tyler, hopefully you will know how many of us have cared & not forgotten you. Personally, I wish you nothing but the best & hope you keep getting healthier. My 34 year old nephew also named Tyler passed away from alcoholism on 3/5/2021. I would like nothing but to turn back time & do more for him. Foolishly I thought...he is so young...we have time. Wrong. Thank God you do. Take it & keep fighting for your health. You are worth it.

So brave and kind of Tyler to come forward with this. I’m sure one reason is the trust he feels in Maurice. You can’t open wounds if you have no support. We think of actors as having armore. They get critiqued and criticized so often if a performance or storyline isn’t to the fans liking. They are human with the same doubts, insecurities and hurt like we all do. I’m a writer and believe me, it’s hard to leave your ego at the door. Tyler fought his battle. Hopefully he won. Hopefully it made him stronger. But that little annoying voice we all hear at times shows no mercy. That’s why we must be there for each other. Words can hurt. Someone once told me they were not responsible for making me feel. Yeah, right. Believe me, kind words can lift. Words can inspire. Words can knock the wind right out of you. Thank you Maurice for bringing this to our attention and being an inspiration.

Interesting that Tyler described how he kept walking with his suitcases. Several times I've been near homelessness in different places (my hometown of Toledo, Puerto Rico and Nebraska), but was able to find a job just in time, and one thing I've always told myself is "Keep putting one foot in front of the other.". Millions of people in this country, and probably tens of millions, are one or two paychecks away from homelessness. Looking forward to this interview to see how Tyler is doing. I have to believe there's an acting job he could get. Did a great job as Prince Nicholas. If Roger Hogsworth (spelling?) has been able to play multiple characters on GH, why not this man? Tyler if you're reading this, I hope the people in my state of Ohio treated you alright while you were here. God bless. And thanks Maurice for conducting these interviews. In the future if you could get Katelyn MacMullen (Willow Tait) that'd be nice to see. She has silver screen potential in my humble opinion.

This was an amazing interview. RIP TYLER ❤️🙏🏽 Living in a world of mental health can be so devastating at times. Overcoming all these hardships is amazing. I myself can admit that I suffer from anxiety at times and it can be so overwhelming. However, I am also a person who has dealt with family members with this disease including addiction and it has been one of the most hardest trials to go through. I lost my sister to this disease and wish I could have done more for her.

"His angst.. his energy." Right on. I could never put my finger on it either but his performances touched me so much. And as wacky as it sounds, he was such a beautiful crier. Men on soaps rarely reach me with their tears, but Tyler (and JJ) were two of the most honest and raw criers. I felt the sadness of their characters in my soul. It was such a joy to watch him perform. For as long as GH exists, I will never stop hoping for his return.

On January 11th, 1999 I gave birth to my second child(another boy) & boy was I going through it❗ I was already a single mom... I stared at my baby boy...not knowing what "proper meaningful" name to give him. I was watching General Hospital....I called my younger brother & said " What do you think about the character Nicholas Casadine" We laughed because we both would come home from school & loved to watch Elizabeth Taylor originate the Canadine Family. So at at that moment I knew my son's na.e had to be Nicholas.... If you were to see a picture of my Nick(now 23) & Christopher... They look very much alike😏

Looking forward to this one. I have been homeless before and some don't realize it can and does happen to anyone. Never say it can't, because it can and even happens to those people we know and love. Too many put all homeless in one big group. I do know some like being out there..but for the majority, the most don't. They didn't ask for it to happen. People tend to just walk away from a homeless person, but what if that was you or someone you know or someone who you knows loved one..wouldn't you want to help..because you never know when it may or may not happen to you. Kindness doesn't take much and that very act of kindness does mean everything and could possibly, most times, set a person in the direction they need for more good to happen for them.

Let me just start out by saying no one played Nicholas Cassadine as well as Tyler Christopher that role was made for him but if someone steals your c/c and money and phone there are ways you can get them reissued back to you it does take time it's not something that happens overnight they is more to the story then what he is saying there was no family he could have called?
