The moment you realise that older!Derek literally only interacted with Stiles in one episode from Season 4 It felt like Dylan and Tyler were really open to exploring the possibility of Sterek or at the very least expanding on their friendship, and Jeff decided that he didn't like it, so even though the story threads were made in Seasons 1-3a he just decided to abandon the dynamic mostly except for a few very small scenes Which is a shame for me considering I'm 100 percent a Sterek shipper for life

hath5712 actually Jeff was okay it was other writers in the writers room. Jeff tried to create a world where race religion and sexuality aren't a big deal. the only problem is every writer ships or wants to see certain characters react and it's not always the characters we want to see. they were probably never going to be a romantic pair though idk y though cause they're awesome together

Their relationship should have been deeply explored since the actors had the best chemistry on the series, in my opinion. I really believe that making them a couple later on would have been amazing! It looked like the show was going that way, from all the anchor thing and everything else, but then... Then the show went somewhere else... And the show ended... Not in a good way...

It’s just funny and so many people were like embracing their relationship, because it could’ve made sense to the storyline and it could’ve made people that feel like stiles, feel less alone because like the whole thing “oh my favorite character is just like me I relate to them a lot” and it’s not like it would’ve been out of place for stiles or dereks storyline, it would’ve actually fit right in besides the whole Derek being gods knows how much older than stiles
