I might be wrong on him being in a category of his own but Tyler is a jack of all trades.. he makes the beats, he does the characters and he stick to that until his next album, he directs his music videos, he come up the concepts, one underrated thing bout him.. he knows how to pick his features and make them sound like they were supposed to be on that song.. Tyler is a star.. and I don’t like that tier list bs 🤦🏽♂️ its ruins the dialogue between the fans!!

This is my very first album of Tyler and I have to admit I was missing out. Tyler is a artist and I appreciate his artistry. He has a new fan in me and I’m very hard to shift. Outside of Kendrick being me favorite rapper, I usually listen to faith base hip hop. Lecrae and 1.1,Six. Tyler is a very special artist and so glad I gave his music a chance. It’s been on repeat since it came out. 💯🔥❤️

Im not a Tyler stan at all, but on first listen, the album is dope. I think sonically it is a mesh of todays hiphop and early 2000 sound mixed with Jazz, soulful harmonies, and funk. You can clearly hear how he is truly inspired by Pharrell and Kanye, added with raw subject matter within the bars. If you are comparing Tyler to Uzi, respectfully in my opinion your out of touch with music, and sound. Uzi sound is heavy and flooded with 808 beats and rock influences. Its one thing to listen to album and another to skim right through it and its apparent some of yall didnt listen to it. Not sure why my mans said he wouldnt listen to it for hiphop, like than your saying Tribe Called Quest isnt hiphop? Because their beat was made with similar formula, Your saying De La Soul isnt hiphop, your saying Brand Nubian, Rakim, your saying Common,,Roots, Fugees, Pharcyde, which all have incorporated soul, funk, electronic, with samples into their hiphop sound.

If he cared, he should have rapped bro, it's that simple. Brothers have real fights about real issues and it's still love. Dissing your friends career or discography isn't a friendship ending move. And furthermore, for J. Cole fans, he talked about this moment his entire career, the braggadocio raps, constant GOAT talk, and then he renigged on all of it. I can't be a Cole fan after that. At least Drake stood, fought back, and took an L, that's more honorable. Way more honorable.

Tyler in the Big 3 over Cole is weird, I've listened to both since they're Mixtapes and I know a lot of people haven't really listened to Tyler's first 3 albums and Bastard mixtape. There was a reason he was not put in the big 3. They were good albums but definitely not music that says top 5 rapper. Cole had The Warm Up, The Come Up, and Friday Night Lights, that pretty much put him on the path to being Big 3 and cemented it with 2014 Forest Hill Drive. Tyler's first album that truly caught traction was Flower Boy in 2017, but Igor gave him pop star-esque status.

@sw33tialucard on what bases, because if its sales Eminem is over both them in the last 10 -12 years. Popularity then Travis Scott clears both them, and Kendrick, losingvonly to Drake. Who we know is on the downswing after Kdot cooked him.
