Thomas Cogger early young Elvis was a White kid hip enough to be into black culture. He kicked open the door for black music to be heard in a much broader scale. There’d never have been the British Invasion had it not been for British kids who first heard Elvis singing black music which then turned them on to black music and artist. Post military movie/las Vegas Elvis was lame, but young raw Elvis kicked it which is why he rose to cult fame.in those days you could hear black music on white radio. Elvis turned white kids into black music
