it baffled me when they buffed thresh hook cooldown. even before the buff you could already hook a lot when it gets refunded. thresh hook functionality was already great. buffing it was such a whimsical change to make, like utterly clueless change to make. it's as if some rioter who mains thresh decided to campaign for the buff on his own behalf. it's either that or plain stupidity. there's no other alternative reason. the buff is rediculous and utterly unreasonable. i emphasize BAFFLINGBAFFLINGBAFFLING. like, if a rioter is gonna be a paycheck-thief, just do placebo shit, do tiny things, and stay the fuck away from actual buffs and nerfs. it's so fucking "wtf".

​@@pointyheadYT bro. most thresh players are bad. the buff doesn't actually affect me. but to give good thresh players, thresh mains, thresh onetricks, who are maybe high elo, to give them infinite cc chain that is unaffected by tenacity, it's just a terrible horrible idea. even if bad players and low elo can't skillfully capitalize on it, it's just a terrible horrible idea. for comparison: blitzcrank: {cooldown=16s} {cc=0.65s stun} nautilus: {cooldown=10s} {cc=0-0.9s drag + 0.1s root} pyke: {cooldown=8s} {cc=1s slow} NOW GET READY FOR THIS BRO: THRESH: > cooldown is 9 seconds. > if it hits it refunds 2 seconds (was 3 seconds before the recent nerf). > AND the cc is 1.5 seconds "Lockout" which is unaffacted by tenacity. even before the buff, thresh hook was the most cc-chainable hook in the game. even before the buff, with 50% cdr it was 2.5cd when it hits, and during the 1.5 seconds of that cd the target is in "Lockout". the functionality of thresh hook was already INSANE. after the buff, with 50% cdr, it's 1.5cd when it hits, AND THE FUCKING CC, THAT MIND YOU IS UNAFFECTED BY TENACITY, LASTS 1.5 SECONDS. IT'S FUCKING PERMANENT. THESE FUCKING RIOTERS BRO. this recent nerf sets it right though. now it'll be back to 2.5cd again if it hits. and thresh is more bad-friendly now since there's more value on the cooldown, and less value in the refund. i'm sorry bro, for writing you a pentagon terms and service novel. but you see. i don't hate thresh. i just hate in general or something like that.

@@EatEatEatRepeat Not sure why you're bringing up Naut and Pyke, their kits don't entirely revolve around hitting your hook the way Blitz's or Thresh's do. Blitz hook is extremely punishing if done right, can completely take someone out of the game for good. Its supposed to have the highest cooldown. As far as I remember, Thresh hook was always the most efficient, even back when he was released. The champion saw less and less play as time went on and more nerfs came in. They probably felt the health and dmg buffs weren't enough, so they tweaked the cd's. Its a business for Riot, they look at whats frequently played in pro-play and ranked and decide what to modify. Though, it does seem strange to buff a already popular champion in ranked. No idea how good he is in pro-play, since I don't follow. Cheer up, there's way worse bad-friendly champions in the game. Once it gets out of hand, it'll problably be back to the gutter for him.
