LT1 V8 S10 Nitrous upgrade 50-300 shot kit "Nitrous Express" ( Part 1 )

In the attempts to un-redneck my s10 I take one step forward and one step back. There will be more on that later in part 2 of my nitrous upgrade series. In this video I install all the hardware needed on my truck and modify some key areas that need improvement. The next video will cover hood clearance issues and wiring for the Nitrous Express kit.

Nice to see it go from YellowBullet question to KZbin video. Looking forward to seeing more. Also, pretty sure Featherlite Composites makes a 6" bubble cowl for $400 that fits our trucks. Bubble is nice for the increased visibility.

I got a surprise coming for the hood clearance issues. I really want a bolt on since I mainly do street driving. When a go 400 CI on the SBC a lot will change. 😁

Love it brother she gonna feel that hit !! I have the cheater system and them solenoids are big ! Now the only difference in a cheater system vs a power shot is the solenoids the plate is the same on that system anyways also my book said use Teflon paste but my system is old and maybe this is the new age way lol I always trust your judgment you know more then me fosho can only tell you what my book said I feel your pain with the hood I cut mine out my carb and charge tube sits way high ! I did email glass teck they said they could make one so just need to follow up with them . Gotta get my on the road first lol Keep them vids coming great stuff !!

Ok are you using an Electric pump for the Nitrous, and a mechanical pump for the Carb? I'm getting ready to plumb my fuel side of the system and not sure where to get the fuel

When you said your setting the flowing fuel pressure at 6psi was that on the high pressure tune and jetting from nx 8-10 or there low pressure tune 5psi?

I don't even worry about that I have it at 7 psi now. I start at a 100 shot and slowly work up. I purchase 50-90 jets from induction solutions and make my own tuneup by looking at the plugs and wideband readings. After a 250 shot, you got to start looking at the plugs only for a tuneup.

I don't know how much the motor makes NA. I'm guessing about 450 at the crack.

You should never use Teflon tape on any Nitrous fittings or connections!! It will leak and possibly even cause a nitrous backfire.... Blue thread lock is the best.

Ran 9’s with tape so far and no leaks. As long as you do it right it won’t leak or get into the noid. Too much blue thread lock will do the same thing. Manufactures say never use tape to save their ass because there are too many people who don’t know "not" to put the tape after the threads.

I know it probably runs fine but that intake design is definitely not ideal for a carb or a plate kit. The fuel has to make a legit turn into all cylinders after it drops from the plenum.

@@rizzoid Yeah I'm only going 200 on this setup cam is on a 108 LSA. It can probably go 250 max but I'm going to keep it safe at 200.
