is it just me or did the "turn up the volume" at the beginning lead anyone else to believe this was just going to be a screamer?

MegaEvilMonkee First Violin 2nd chair :-) I remember the orchestra was practicing this in the band room right before our performance (in my high school the bands & orchestra all played on the same night) and the whole entire band was speechless when we got to this song and was quiet the whole time - only time they really listened to us - good memories

This energy stirs from the lower darker places and explodes into a fury of excitement, I'm almost riveted in my chair while I listen. For me, this is a piece I relate to the magnificence of Vivaldi, I cant express the emotions I feel when I hear "The Four Seasons". I'm going to listen to Bach's concerto and expect the same from his genius!

My instructor had us play measure 55 to 51 backwards playing only the notes that change (so you play a half note instead of a 16th note so you only play the two notes per measure). it was really cool! It turns out that as a joke, the composer put Pachabel's Cannon there. It was so cool. I always wondered what those notes were and now I know. Every piece of this song has Pachabel's cannon at those measures.

I remember playing this song when I was in Chamber Orchestra for my high school. And the diamond commercial is Skatells, I just heard it on the radio today, that's why I'm listening to this song right now. haha. My conductor was nuts, he wanted us to play it faster than this, not half time, but faster. Talk about a crazy ending. haha

ehhh... this piece is not by Vivaldi, but by Karl Jenkins. But I think Vivaldi would have loved this piece also. I'm a BIG Vivaldi fan myself! If you like baroque music, search for "Grolsch going Baroque". You will recognize the Vivaldi Opus 3, L'estro harmonico, but is was written by a Dutch composer for a Grolsch beer commercial. Have a search for it and enjoy!
