I sat alone in my car hidden behind an abandoned house, I've been out of jail for 5 weeks and my addiction has taken 8 months of sobriety from me. I haven't eaten in 3 days and I'm out of water. I'm a father I'm a friend I'm a brother a son I am all theses things and none of these things. Last night 4:17 I hear this song for the first time. I listen maybe 40 times. My heart is broken. I'm done. As I type this at a red-light I've driven 2 hours to a city I've never been. I'm going to self admit into a long term rehab and know this is the last ride. This song brought me out of myself when I'd given up. Thank you for this.

@susanmiller41595 жыл бұрын
C Burkens I agree I prefer Tyler and his guitar. I have mixed feelings about “the studio” sound because I did see a review that referred to the song as something like a light hearted romp. Nothing Tyler Childers writes or sings can be passed off as light hearted, in my opinion. I’m trying to believe that it may get him a bit more lucrative success which he well deserves. Someone this good deserves a little something for his retirement.
@TheCentralflorida5 жыл бұрын
@@susanmiller4159 good point. Get the single. Get the hit. Appeal to the sheep masses and then back to business as usual. He's like that good private spot you dont want anyone to know about but suddenly it's a tourist attraction for the Mickey crowds.

@Praxis Of Logos I hope that's not a rhetorical question. If it is I do understand that people do need overproduced pop style to get in to someone but here we go.... Nose on the grindstone, white house road, feathered indians, I swear, shake the frost, deadman curve (my favorite). Granted one producer could take those and remove the subtlety that is Tyler and make it band radio garbage. A lot of this album is much closer to the style most of us who have watched him for years love but just not this one. I did hear him do it acoustic since I posted that and that sounded much better. So just overproduced.
@TheCentralflorida4 жыл бұрын
@Praxis Of Logos all subjective too. I liked the more raw stuff. House Fire is closer to that style. I do have my own pop guilty pleasures too. I won't say the name of the band but it rhymes with Schmimagine Schmragons. I dont admit that often.
