The next time you’re in town, check out Oceanside coastal. You can walk the pier, get ice cream at the Top Gun house (and see the famous view from the motorcycle scene). Then if you head up to the harbor, there are almost always sea lions piled up on the docks. We’ve even affectionately named one “Sea Lion Island”.

Peanut butter and jalapeños on a burger….as Jessie would sign “baby baby baby”. So good!!! Had these all the time when I worked at Scottys Brewhouse. It was called the Shewman burger.

I’ve lived in Southern California most of my life so I am familiar with Stater Brothers (we pronounce the whole word so I’m not sure why it’s Stater Bros). Never realized it’s not a National brand. But we don’t have Meijers out here. I’m alway a little jealous when you talk about it!
