Those trinkets simply don't work. The bottle manufacturers produce caps with perfect seal and grooves. The gimmick products in theory could work but they never make a proper seal which requires precise per bottle manufactured plastic to seal, and hence it's worse than usual the original cap. Likely they design it so it work on a specific bottle type but it isn't universal

Search "partial pressure" and "carbonation volume chart" for details but the short version is that the tiny amount of CO2 that they could possibly add would have a negligible impact on the partial pressure of CO2 in the headspace. A note: a more useful test would have been to "drink" (or pour out) an equal amount from each bottle at the beginning of the test. The whole point is that you're supposed to be able to consume a portion and reserve the remainder for a later date. As for the numbers, I can't imagine any other reason to have 1-31 but can think of other uses than just the date.

Stopping at 12:35 to say when you cant get under the tab, you simply push or turn it 90° so it's over the mouth peice. The slight bulge from carbonation will alow it to lift enough to get a finger under it. Once under it, give it a slight bend and return to normal opening position and continue to open the can. Tested and been using this method by yours truly, for decades drinking beer. Your welcome. And tyler put it to the test....you'll see.

Hey, im from Germany and watch your Videos for quite some time. You looked like you are in desperate need of a Pro Tip in opening Bier/soda cans :D I dont know If we got the exact same soda cans here in EU, but at least they look very similar. We can Open our cans without using our Fingers. You can Stack two cans ontop of each other and tilt the upper can in the direction of the bottom cans pulltab, with downwards pressure. I'm from Arkansas so it's neither pop nor soda... It used to get confusing when I didn't specify lol.. But pop and soda both sound goofy to me, so if I have to refer to these drinks in general terms, I just say "carbonated beverage" now. But I remember just not getting it when I was a little kid - I would go somewhere and order a drink and I would say, "I want a coke" and when they would take that as the end of the exchange, I would say, "Hold up, I want my coke to be a Dr. Pepper" lmao.. So stupid to think about now. I think for me, it was like a lot of words where people refer to a general product by a specific brand name - like using the word Kleenex for tissue, Clorox for bleach or saying Bobcat to refer to all brands of skid steers - stuff like that (I'm bad to use all of those), where the most, or one of the most, popular brand names becomes the colloquial term for the general product.

Tyler, I used to drink soda a lot, but i found how much sugar and caffeine was in one serving, I might drink one if that is the only thing around to drink ,but, I'll either drink water, diet sodas, milk, juice, etc. But not regular sodas just because of the sugar and caffeine. I like to watch my sugar. I used to drink 3 or 4 cans a day, but I didn't realise how much sugar and caffeine i was drinking and eating in one day, but it was way too much sugar and caffeine for one day. In fact, My sister drinks about 5 or more cans of soda a day, plus almost a whole small tub of ice cream and other sweet stuff. It's crazy!😮 and every time i look for the ice cream, it's all gone!🙄😠

If you can't get your finger under the soda tab, press down on the part you drink from with your thumb, then use your finger on the tab. That lifts it up slightly so you can get a grip on the tab.

My trick for "stuck down" can tabs is to press down on the other end to lift it up enough to lift the tab. Can be done one handed, thumb press down and index to lift. Just move your thumb out of the way once you index is under unless you want to put your thumb into your drink. It happens from time to time on Arizona tea cans. My theory is internal pressure makes the top a bit more convex and makes the lifting end of the tab lay more flat, and the cans that are a little bit less firm dont have this issue
