With all dur respect, Tyler: Listening is a soul-searching process by which we musicians, through conscientiously, diligently listening and analyzing what we hear, tease out the intentions of composers, arrangers, instrumentalists from the recordings for the purpose of recreating the beauty, emotion and, yes, the musical knowledge and craftsmanship and logical thought that went into it. This song became a huge hit. I am certain that this was due to the fact that it struck an emotional chord in many hearts. For this reason it behooves us all as musicians to be the faithful ambassadors of those who went before us. Now, about that riff: Ab -- B[natural], C, Eb, F, Db -- Bb, C, Db, D[natural], Eb, E, F, C, Db, Ab, Bb, Eb, Ab. You are a terrific pianist but this music is not to be taken lightly.

Thanks so much for all your great videos... I've been working on this tune lately, and I'm hearing a B natural (I think accurate enharmonic spelling is Cb, but who cares) as the second note of the bassline.

first time is a B flat/Cb and later on the phrase I hear a D flat not a Db.. anyway, it's a good demo/tutorial

I'm practicing this and I've notice the piano guy plays the bass pattern a little different and he plays a high and low octive with left hand but that is more difficult than what you does but yours sounds like the actual song so which one is the correct way

Are you referring to the bass line?.. if so then yeah, I realized that shortly after recording this. I might have to put a speech bubble explaining that.

how do you mean? midi file of the lesson or of me playing the song in it's entirety?
@tyleryesta111 жыл бұрын
Well.. no not really. I would say start with a very basic piano song. The first song I ever learned was "Louie Louie" by the Kingsmen.
