Might want to try this operation on uneven ground before purchasing. Looks pretty easy when you're doing it on a level concrete parking lot. I own a Kubota B3200 and it only has two Saddles & 2 locking pins no frame underneath the tractor to lineup. Even being that simple it can be quite the chore to get it to line up when you're in the field. I couldn't imagine trying to line this one up.
@TonysTractorAdventure4 жыл бұрын
I have done it on uneven ground, sideways ground, forward ground and flat ground. The outriggers and the boom pick it up. You just level it to the tractor and back in.

Have owned this TYM for 2 years now. You remove the 3 pt. assembly completely. You do not link it into the bottom pins. This is how my dealer does it and it works fine. If you remove the 3 pt. assembly, it is much easier to line everything up. I love this tractor!

Great video, would you know where one could find a thumb for the backhoe?
@TonysTractorAdventure2 жыл бұрын
I never recommend a thumb for such a small backhoe. I don't recommend them for any tractor backhoe unless they are commercial machines. They are a waste of time in my opinion and will only end up damaging the backhoe with little to no use. They just don't have the reach to do much without moving the tractor a hundred times. I know there is a mount, but I have known so many people break off their backhoe with a thumb. Spend the money on a grapple and you will be much happier and mobile. Again, just my opinion, but it is based on answering about 1000 tractor comments each week. There are two camps with a thumb. People who have damaged their backhoe, and those that will. All said with love.

They make a little tool to release the pressure. It happens to all brands. It is really bad if you take it off on a cold day and put it back on a warmer day. The air bubbles expand. I could see it was hard to fit a camera while installing the stabilizers! I've read the comments below and it seems people are not so enthusiast with that system. On the other end, it is a compact tractor and without a real subframe, it compromises the tractor's frame. The video is 14 minutes. So I assume installing the backhoe must not be over 15 minutes. It looks like a pain in the butt and not very user friendly. The backhoe attachment reminds me of the aftermarket 3 point backhoes that can be purchased. I see a lot of resemblance. I think I like the setup on my MF GC1723EB better...
@TonysTractorAdventure4 жыл бұрын
It is better in some ways, but the MF GC does not dig with as much force and as fast as the TYM T264. The engineers of many tractor companies use this type system to transfer the load across the tractor. The MF GC1723EB is more on par with TYM's new T224 and backhoe. The T224 comes on and off about the same as the GC17xx.
@darkwinter60284 жыл бұрын
Tony's Tractor Adventure - IIRC, you didn’t actually own the MF backhoe because the dealer said it couldn’t be added to your MF tractor; so you got a LS with the backhoe instead? You might not be aware - or remembering - that there’s a whole additional subframe under the backhoe-equipped versions of the GC1700 that does just that (and additionally makes the tractor frame stronger even when doing non-backhoe stuff); and for a larger/faster backhoe that subframe - and it’s interface point to the main backhoe body - would be made stronger. The difference between the two versions isn’t just in the back end of the tractor. Of course, it’s not perfect - seeing the interface points while backing the tractor up so that everything lines up puts a crick in my neck; and spinning the seat around is not as nice as it could be (the latching mechanism is a bit fiddly). It’d also be nice if there was an extra lever to raise and lower the FEL from the backhoe to make repositioning the machine by pushing it with the backhoe more convenient (as-is you have to turn 120 deg and reach behind you for the lever). I’ve got the parts for, and hope to get a chance to install soon, a video “back up” camera/LCD system, mounted on the ROPS & canopy, pointed down with the hitch & whatever implement is on there in view. Gonna stick that on there along with a 12v fan (truckers often have this kind installed in their cab, hanging from the ceiling) and an amber LED strobe for when I need to be out on the street with the machine. (Right now, it’s still raining, but it’s supposed to clear up tomorrow...) 🙂
