makes me wanna build dargo. seeing that much draw, even through exile in mardu is crazy

wow at the commitment to showing the correct art, just amazing it was difficult to follow the cost of dargo so i never knew if the right amount was being paid to cast him but that’s a small detail, amazing win :)

Dargo loops are like that, once someone explains them to you slowly once their super clear, but at a glance they can really seem like cheating

With Dargo, one has to have several ways of tracking color of mana produced, storm count, and sac'd permanent count

Super fun game to watch as always! I always love watching a sans-Blue deck pop off with draws! This is a good game to show people who think cEDH is just Thoracle Consult. Mardu can win in some nutty ways!

love to see a Dargo going off - shame quite a few of the key cards are out of my budget, but I'm tempted to try building something around him anyhow :)

This game was insane! Just complete domination from Mardu. Surprised nobody was able to deal with the horn

I built that style Dargo/Tymna list some time last year (didn't really have enough support/skill to pilot it well), but I would absolutely hit him, just because he said not to :)
@tmakalpha12 жыл бұрын
I've been playing Dargo Ikra but I can see why Tymna is solid as well for the card advantage and removal. I just like Ikra because she can offset the life loss more easily

Have you seen the second video? which was actually the first one in the recording session? Hence why people were focusing Baal quite a bit.

damn those wheels were timed horribly, both when Diego had 0 cards in hand and Harnfel on the battlefield.

Yes almost like king maker play this why i really don’t like the card. A lot of inexperienced player just keep throw the game for just the reason that they want to draw.
@SplitSecond2 жыл бұрын
It might look that way indeed. But at that moment in time Baal had nothing to going on and was hoping to hit good artifacts to storm off with Jhoira but it was killed which set him back a lot.
@joshuaspector81822 жыл бұрын
I can see the attempt. In my jhoira deck being incapable of combo after getting a new hand is pretty uncommon.

Interesting decision to not counter Burnt Offering to not put Diogo too much behind. Could someone explain to me why is it not better to counter a player out of a game? Isn't it just one less threat at the table?
@MrKillrpig2 жыл бұрын
Edh, and by extention cedh, is a ‘community’ style game- and this isn’t tournament play so they rather have more fun overall
@jeffpatterson82812 жыл бұрын
The only spell i wouldn't ever counter from Diogo is Gamble, as I know he will always discard his best card anyways.
@SplitSecond2 жыл бұрын
Basically, at that moment in time if Baal had countered Burnt Offering after Diogo had cast both sacrificial spells, he would be out of the game with 3 lands only, having tymna costing 5 for his next turns to rebuild. Baal could still counter a Naus or Peer with the Muddle if that was what Diogo was aiming for. Otherwise, having put him out of the game would mean Dante and Rodrigo would somewhat team-up to take Baal out of the game first, and Rodrigo could easily Entomb Leveler and kill Baal with Dante to try to protect it from Baal, and then worry with Dante, and Only Then, take care of the Diogo. That's why he ended up not countering so the threats would all still be available at the table, and this way Rodrigo's main plan (Leveler/Inverter of Truth) would still need to be carefully planned, since the deck has a niche strategy to slowly take out 1 opponent at a time.
