There was one on eBay for 30.00 shipped a few days ago. I already have a boss gt-6 and gt-8 and still thought about getting it but I don’t jam anymore I’m too old (77) so I didn’t. It probably would sound just like what I have so not a big loss. I still play but alone now, I have a loop pedal with drums but I miss my friends, a lot. My favorite activity was always playing music with my friends. Like Willy Nelson’s on the road again.

Received as a gift in 05, I needed versatility in a simple compact package as I work and play out of the country. Provides everything I need, one just needs a little patience to invest the time to dial in precisely what you are wanting to hear. It is there and once I found the specific settings for the sound I desired, I took a little more time and mapped the settings on an excel spreadsheet and the monotonous aspect once completed was over.
@Homestudiosimplifed6 жыл бұрын
StratocasterPlusPlayer you have a copy of that spreadsheet?
@me-ll7gw6 жыл бұрын
Robert, I believe I do, I think it resides in one of my Stratocaster Plus Deluxe cases, back home. After several years of trial and error I over-wrote the factory presets with variations for my own tastes. I'm flying back to the states in August. I'll reach out to you if I find it. For me the key to my success in finally liking the ME 50 as a viable and pleasing tone tool was spending a lot of time with it making subtle and incremental adjustments. I took the time to track the adjustments so as not to cover the same ground time and time again, leading to frustration and disappointment. I too at first found the sound to be a little thin and sometimes even fizzy. Ultimately I have found that letting the guitars pickups and amplifier voicing put forth most of the tone and using the ME 50 to shade or color it slightly provided the most pleasing results for my tonal tastes. The expression pedal I use only to shift pitch, for Wah affect, I use my 40 year old Jim Dunlop Cry Baby.

@@Joe-hl2ts The drives leave a bit to be desired, but it's a great unit for the effects. I do do use the "Natural" drive as a boost for my Dark Matter drive. It works pretty well for that, and the DS1 setting is pretty close to a DS1 tone. The fuzz drives are pretty much unusable (at least I haven't been able to get a good fuzz tone out of it). The delays and modulation effects are pretty solid, and the compressor is actually quite good. If you need versatility and a wide array of effects to choose from, this isn't a bad addition to a pedalboard. I wouldn't use it for my main drives though.

Turn off the ME-50's power. 2. Press and hold the BANK [>] and WRITE buttons simultaneously, and then turn on the power - "P" appears in the display, followed by "U." 3. Move the EXP all the way back to the "heel" position until it stops. 4. Press WRITE - "d" appears in the display. Note: If the TUNING indicator flashes, move the EXP pedal forward and then back, then press WRITE. 5. Move the EXP pedal all the way toe-forward until it stops. 6. Press WRITE - "5" appears in the display. 7. To adjust the toe-end foot switch, press BANK [] to set the value (1-9). A lower value allows for the switch to be activated with minimal pressure. More force is needed for higher values. 8. Press WRITE - The new settings are saved automatically.

Press write again and you should see a "d". Set the pedal all the way back (your heel) and press write again. You should then see a "5" displayed. Use the bank () to adjust the value between 1-9 [1 being lowest amount of pressure needed and 9 being most amount of pressure]. Press write again and it should save your adjustment and the manual light should come on on the display. That should fix your troubles
