Tyne and Wear Metro - The Avoiding Line (Gosforth Depot)

Filmed on 14/2/24. This video shows long term out of use Metrocars on the avoiding line, as you may tell by the state of some. Which means we get to see some Metrocars we’ve never ever seen on this channel before, such as 4001 or 4020.
Units on the avoiding line: 4020, 4063, 4034, 4064, 4037, 4076, 4080, 4077, 4001, 4010
These Metrocars will most likely never see service again as they are being used as parts to repair the other in service trains to keep them going. Basically all of them have had all of their parts stolen and put onto other trains.
Surprisingly, 4040 isn’t on the avoiding line yet, I believe it was on road 16 of the depot when I saw it, with a broken window which has been covered with a piece of plastic. 4040 is now the only unrefurb not doomed forever!
Graffiti, vandalism all over!
Also includes bonus Metrocars passing the depot and photos of Metrocars on the avoiding line.
