Another great video. Yes, this was worth waiting for! Your roof brackets are great. Your work with copper and solder reminds me of your roof build at South Shields. Back when I had a layout, I used a toothpick for painting my HO scale road signs. I also did toothpick etching for my stop signs. First, I painted red the white reflective tape red. Second, I etched on the red, "STOP". Our best to you and Laura. Bill and Janet from California

Good morning Bill & Janet. The tooth pick is fairly new to me for doing straight lines, as i have only used for before for dotting on figures. creating buttons if you know what i mean. but yes it does work. thanks again for commenting. stay safe Tony & Laura.

What a fantastic achievement Tony, the detail in these brackets will help to give Tyne dock is unique look. With the underpasses down to the road brilliant, Sid is going to be very proud of his new station. We only got back from a week holiday in north Wales last night it was a long drive, with a stop over 6hrs, so tired today. Managed a trip on the Llanberis narrow gauge railway and a visit to a slate works, very interesting. And in Llandudno the tramway the up to the Great Orme. That was good. The weather was brilliant sunny every day. Hope you and Laura are well, keep going with the brackets (not quite as intense as south shields) speak soon a tired but happy and relaxed Eddy and Anne xxx

Good morning Eddy & Anne. Sounds like you are having a great time being out and about. Sid is already proud of his new office. but he keeps moaning about not have a roof over his head. funning that. i am guessing he does not know he lives in a fantasy world under a bigger roof. Lol. its great to hear from you all as always take care. cheer's for now Tony & Laura.

Excellent work Tony and a beautiful end product readily produced. It’s a great reminder that we have lots of gauges I.e. drill bits to hand and building a simple and robust jig gives yields professionally finished product! I was wondering if you needed some form of former and clamp/ wedges to hold the “hypotenuse” piece in place during soldering. Have seen these pieces made in plasticard, stack several, drill through and file down - tedious work and less accurate, much prefer your method! Great to hear it’s enjoyable, I always get a lot of satisfaction when I produce stuff like that., it’s therapeutic work too. Take care my friend, all the best Stephen

Good afternoon Stephen. thank you for the kind words of support. i do find these type of jobs very therapeutic and relaxing to do. I have seen these made from plastic card. but i am just using what bits and bobs that i have lying around. take care my friend. all the best Tony.

Dear Tony, it’s amazing to see and hear how you’ve designed and fabricated these brackets for the canopy of Tyne Dock Station. Definitely deserves a compliment from the modeling heart for the excellent use of the material of the welding rods, the jig you made, the way you’ve made the copper spring rolls and cut them up to form the circular elements of the bracket. Absolutely beautiful and marvelous. Of course, I love and appreciate the visual research you’ve added to show a little bit of historical reference on these particular brackets. From the way you showed the jig I was anticipating you would have been able to use the pointed end of the jig as a folding template for the lower and bent part of the bracket. Especially for the fact that the partial cut showed at that end of the jig. At least to me the pointed end looked very much like the form of the lower part of the bracket. Don’t know if you tried it out, still had the humble thought it was worth mentioning. Yes, I am very aware that the welding rods are rather sturdy to be formed in such a way on any form piece. Nevertheless, I’m just curious if you might have tried it out. Very cool to see the effect of the brackets on the building. The height of their intended placement indeed in scale concordance. Am very curious for the next report on the Tyne Dock project. Plus the way you will add the tiny decorative cornice elements at each bottom of the brackets. Also loved the way you showed the tiny detail figure painting. And from those two scarcely dressed ladies I am very curious to what kind of scene this is going to lead. Have a great weekend and cheerio until the next one!

Good morning. thank you for commenting. wow you say 5 and half hours putting things right, now that what i call dedication. i did have a few things to put right in the past. but at the end of the day you have to be 100% sure that you are happy with your builds before placing the building on the layout. and stand back and be proud of your achievements. take care Tony.

@@TONYNORTHEASTERN mine was track issues, certain locomotives run fine for days then all of a sudden they derail on points or decide then don’t like running in opposite direction. I suppose it’s all in the learning curve, and then I watch master craftsmanship like your and I get new ideas. 😂
@TONYNORTHEASTERN4 ай бұрын
Track has to be as straight as you can get before going into points. just to keep the wheels parallel . i always opt for the long turnouts for smoother running. i hope this tip helps. as i have had my fair of issues with certain loco's. cheer's Tony.
