Thanks Hannah. Really good advice. I was diagnosed at 23 with what they thought at the time was type 2 but then I eventually diagnosed as type 1 last year at 36 and started on the insulin pens. I have had such an up and down first year. Some weeks I'm 90+% in range, other's I'm 5% and everywhere in between. Next year I hope to adopt a more consistent strategy like yours and just stick to it. I had a few scary lows which I think has made me subconsciously run higher than I should. How do you recover mentally from a low so that it doesn't have that effect?

Hey Ben, thanks for your response. This is an awesome question. First of all, you are so not alone with running higher due to haveing scary lows in the past. I see this all the time. I'm doing some recording today and I'll make a video answering this one specifically. It's so so common but there are tools to make it easier. Also, I have weeks 90% in range and then weeks totally not sometimes. That happens. Do you feel like you could be mentally burnt out the weeks you are less in range?

@@drhannahhamlin That would be great, thanks. I think I'm mentally rundown or I'm just being too cautious with pre-bolus timing and night time corrections just to avoid lows.

@@chickencooptown2499 You are definitely not alone. I made a video that I will put out later this week. I'd love your feedback on it as I know healing emotionally from it can be different for everyone.
