You're pretty much spot on. Personally, been a fan since 1994, the year I discovered them. Saw 'em live twice, 1997 and then in '03. Thank goodness, in hindsight. There are a lot of bands I failed to see live at the time for one reason or the other, and now I wallow myself in regret ahahah. Anyway, fantastic band. And Peter was one of a kind.
