MHO: ‘Type O Negative’ tapped into a level of ‘dark romanticism’, that no other band was able to. I think having a talented, attractive, long-haired, 6’8’ baritone singer certainly helped, as well.

I saw Type O back in 2003 with Lacuna Coil. Pete had such a presence about him. When he came out on stage with his huge stature and bass on his chest with a massive chain as a strap I was blown away. They were so badass. Awesome cover btw!
