Hepatitis B can't be cured, but it almost always goes away on its own. There are medications that can help treat long-lasting hepatitis B infections. The most important thing to remember is that hepatitis B is a chronic medical condition (such as diabetes and high blood pressure) that can be successfully managed if you take good care of your health and your liver. Most experts think a combination of two or more drugs will prove the most beneficial in treating chronic HBV.
