I bought this for my 16” MacBook Pro and I’m very happy with the quality and compatibility of this monitor. Highly recommended for Mac users!

Hi. Did you still like this monitor? It is goid for text work, or coding? Text is sharp ans crispy?
@UltraKryptonian Жыл бұрын
@@andriusurbonas9130 Hello. Yes, I still have the monitor and I happen to be using it, right now - connected to a 16" MacBook Pro. Since ownership, I've experienced some flickering on it. To remove the flickering, I had to do some changes in my display settings. First, I turn "True Tone" OFF and I select a different color profile (forget using the Dell profile). The color profile I use is "Display P3" and I manually set the refresh rate to 60Hz. These techniques I'm using are a combination of tips I got from other people here on YT. I know my recommendation works, because I inputted the settings during the monitor flickering. Once the settings were changed, the flickering stopped. I don't code, but I would say the monitor is good for text work. I scaled my text to the 2nd largest "text setting" and everything is readable to these old eyes. I primarily use this setup for video editing on Final Cut and everything looks good. Now, that I refined the settings, I'm even happier about my purchase. Hope that helps!

the usb-c is the cable enough to display the screen or do I need a HDMI cable? I will buy a mac pro and this is what i'm worried about.
@UltraKryptonian Жыл бұрын
@LilaCrown I use the black USB-C cable that comes with the monitor. You don't need an HDMI cord, this way.On the MacBook Pro, the cable is hooked up to the USB-C port, next to the Magsafe connection. When hooked up this way, you don't even need to use the Magsafe cable and power brick when hooked up to the Dell monitor.

Still have and use this product as my everyday monitor. Bought it new a few years back and it is by far the best monitor I have ever had! And I have owned virtually every size and brand over the years.

Can you use that usb c cable for a MacBook? Or do you need a thunderbolt 3 cable for Mac specifically?
@jasonluong38628 ай бұрын
How to set up the USB hub on the monitor? I assume I would use the provided USB-C cable to connect the monitor's lone USB-C port to the computer's USB-C port. The monitor's USB-C port acts as the traditional USB-B uplink port on other monitors? Then I can plug USB devices, such as keyboard and mouse, into the two USB-A ports?
@emreemre3692 жыл бұрын
Hi man, just need to mention that at 4k resolution the video does not seem to be running very smoothly, is that the case in general? Is it about your computer's graphics processing capacity? I can't be sure my Huawei Matebook 16 would do much better either, but maybe a Type C connection would smooth things out?
@TypeCTechReviews2 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure exactly what you mean? If you’re talking about the video on screen looks jumpy that is due to the shutter speed on my camera, video playback is not jumpy like that in real life.

@@TypeCTechReviews Yep exactly what I meant, that is good to know. Thanks! Mind telling what machine you hooked it up with?

I find the packaging a bit sloppy, no foam or anything, just cardboard and the box is to slim. Ordered it from Amazon and had to return next day because it had scratches and stains on the screen (I think the product was not new).

Great review. I have the U2723QE arriving today. It’s an upgrade from the S2722QC that has 2000:1 contrast,400 nits of brightness, 90w PD, and a bunch of extra hub connections including Ethernet, a USBC up and down streams, and many extra USB 3.2 ports. It also has the joystick control for the menu vs the 4 buttons. There weren’t really any reviews and it only seems to be available directly from Dell right now. I like Dell’s 3 year panel replacement and the quality of their stands.
