Parallel HEV transmission compared to Series-Parallel Power Switching Unit is excellent. The PSU in Series-Parallel combines HV Battery and ICE, and adjusts based on driving speeds. Great Job.

The Acura Sport Hybrid system use has a modified series-parallel system that can run on 1, 2, 3, or 4 wheel drive depending on performance/handling needed, regen braking and/or I.C.E. recharge of battery pack, rear twin electric motor tq vectoring, and front electric motor inside 7DCT to provide 1st gear and additional power to gears 2-7. The MDX/RLX system becomes 100% fwd at +84 mph (not sure about the NSX going rwd at +84 mph). System build for performance and handling, not for mpgs. Provides about 60hp/70tq extra power to the I.C.E.; while, having almost the same city/combined/hwy mpgs.

Sorry, is Cadillac ELR is series hybrid? I thought it's parallel. I now researching this topic and found only two models: Chevrolet Volt/Opel Ampera amd BMW i3. They have a bit different way to energy converting, but I didn't found any other series hybrid car models. Maybe you can help me with that?

Yes, a separate 12V battery is used for electronic start, power windows, entertainment system. The ECU then switches to Internal Combustion Engine and HV Battery for driving.

Is a Stirling motor a good idea for hybrid cars?

I've had similar thoughts... Since f1 Is able to get extra power through turning extra exhaust heat into electricity... Wouldn't a stirling engine also be able to recover that lost heat back into the system without introducing obstructions to the exhaust flow

They get around the obstructions with a turbo in f1 but i want to keep my civic na because longevity so stirling may be a way to recover that waste heat being kicked out by the engine
