I have a company and I want you to help me please to decide which information system to choose/use for each of these a) if I want to reduce my stock inventory space but dont loose customers and b) if I want to reduce the transportation costs for trying to have better management of the vehicle itineraries . Please Help! Which one to choose and why? Could it be M.I.S. in the first one? In the second? *note that the company wants to do a digital transformation.

What is the difference between MIS and MES?

Hello! I suppose the MIS in your question refers to Manufacturing Information System and MES stands for Manufacturing Execution System. If that is the case, my references tell me that the former refers to computer software platforms used to track to and document the transformation of raw materials to finished goods. On the other hand, the latter means system that connects, monitors and controls complex manufacturing systems and data flows on the factory floor in which its goal is to ensure effective execution of the manufacturing operations and improve production output.
