if used more than 12 hours per day - inverter has an advantage. If you only use say 4 hours a day and looking for a longer wear and tear, non inverter has the edge. My kolin non inverter I bought 2006 is still ok (18 years and counting). Also, inverter technology requires a quality PCB else it is more prone to earlier failure than other parts. My Kolin keeps going but had to replace remote controls twice. FYI - the remote control is built on a small PCB.

Add ko lang sa viewers. If you choose to have a DC inverter, go with brands that have longer warranty like Panasonic and Daikin(japanese brands and with 3yrs warranty). Explanation below. 1 and 2 are AC inverters 3 and 4 are DC inverters You can search google the difference between AC and DC. I want to give some CONS lang sa mga DC inverters. (source TipidPC by Godai) - They are more expensive because they require permanent magnets and can get even more expensive depending on the speed control method used. - While the DC fan motor itself can last a long time, it's usually the AC to DC converter (power supply) that doesn't. - Majority of the aircon PCB issues that are encountered are related to power components failing prematurely. And adding the DC motor into the load further worsens the problem. - AC fan motors on the other hand consume more power but are very cheap to deploy. - Aircons with AC fan motors last longer mainly because their power supply designs are very simple and robust. They don't add to the load of the AC to DC converter of the aircon PCB and work just as well.
