Depends on the company but many have pay day every other Friday for the previous two weeks (example: on March 21st you get paid for working March 1st-14th). Even if you quit they have to pay your hourly or salary for the days you worked but you won't get any commissions or bonuses. Everything should be spelled out in a contract.

No you can't and you can never work in the US with a tourist Visa. You need a Green card in order to have a legal working status so watch out.
