Thank you for uploading such informative video. Please explain what's the difference between routine lifting and non routine simple lifting?
@safetytips9601
@safetytips9601 2 жыл бұрын
The underlying principle is that the risks involved in a routine lift are already known and mitigated. A non-routine lift refers to lifting operation that is complex, carried out for the first time or lifting close to the lifting capacity of the crane.

Is everyone aware of and do they fully understand the lifting and hoisting procedures applicable to the lift? Has everyone involved with this lifting operation attended the toolbox talk? Has a pre-use inspection of the lifting equipment been carried out and are the lifting accessories tagged or marked with: 1. Safe working load? 2. A unique identification number? 3. Is correct color code applied and certificate validity verified? (iv) Are all safety devices working? (v) Does everyone know the Appointed Person of the lift? (vi) Is everyone competent and aware of his or her tasks? (vii) Is there a current Lifting Plan and JSA and does everybody understand the job and precautions? (viii) Does everyone know the environmental limits (e.g. maximum permissible wind speed) for the lift? (ix) Is the lift area controlled and is everyone clear if the load falls or swings? (x) Are signalling methods and communication agreed and clear to you?

Bro, if u know please share through reply the difference between hoisting and lifting ?
@safetytips9601
@safetytips9601 Жыл бұрын
@@amalmalikudyvarghese1487 Hoists can only move loads up and down, while cranes can move loads up and down and side to side. For Example, A good way of noting the difference between hoisting and lifting is by looking at how a flag is raised! When you see a flag being raised what is the flag attached to? A rope! This is a classic example of a hoist system. The rope is attached as a loop to a pulley system at the top and bottom of the flag pole which allows you to raise and lower the flag. As you pull one side of the rope down the other side moves upwards and allows the flag to rise. The flag can’t go anywhere but up or down. This is a key difference between hoisting and lifting. Now let’s look at how a flag is raised using a lifting system. Say the flag is attached to an extendable pole. When the pole is engaged it will telescope (telescoping boom) upwards and allow the flag to rise. However, with the flag being attached to a pole, it can be moved around in a circle and change angles along with just moving up and down.

What is the main difference between routine lift and non routine simple lift?
@safetytips9601
@safetytips9601 24 күн бұрын
@@subbuk3839 Based on ADNOC Standard ST19, the distinction between routine and non-routine lifting is as follows: Routine Lifting: Involves operations performed under normal and predictable conditions. Uses permanently installed lifting equipment and certified lifting points. Permanent Lifting Equipment: Fixed in place and always available for use, like a crane installed in a warehouse.
@safetytips9601
@safetytips9601 24 күн бұрын
@@subbuk3839 Non-Routine Lifting: This is divided into simple, complicated, and complex categories, depending on risks and complexities. Non-Routine Simple Lifting: Similar to routine but uses temporary lifting equipment. Temporary Lifting Equipment: Brought to the site for specific tasks and removed afterward, like a mobile crane or a chain block used only during maintenance.
