St. Anger perfectly represents the state of the band at the time. Very raw and unpolished and arguably not in a good way but these guys needed to make St. Anger to get through all the chaos and turmoil within the band. I'll admit I didn't like it at first but as an adult facing my demons, breaking bad habits, and learning to let shit go. The lyrics just resonated within me and it's been a key factor in keeping a positive mindset. That's just my personal connection to the album though.
